Very overweight person on test?

Ok here's a little background info. I'm 21, 6'2", 305 lbs, 36% body fat. I did weigh 380lbs about 6 mnths ago but have been doing the cut diet and working out. I have been a really big guy my whole life due to inactivity, overeating, poor diet, genetics, etc. I recently started a cycle of testosterone cypionate (1/4 cc every three days). I am on my 5th shot and already have lost 10lbs of fat and gained a considerable amount of muscle. I have found no info about steroid use with someone as large as I am and was curious as to what all of your thoughts are on this.

Thanks, BennyGold

Bro whoever told you this was a good idea Im sure has a bridge for sale also.... Test @ almost half your body being FAT!!!!! NOT A GOOD IDEA.

Should diet/train/cardio for @ least a yr and NOT UNTIL YOU CUT THE BF DOWN IN HALF would I consider doing a cycle

And why is it a bad idea? Is it heart related? Idk If it makes a difference but I have perfect blood pressure and excellent cholesterol levels.

Heart related, cholesterol, liver, and whatever else. At your weight these are typically stressed prior to the use of AAS. You have had great success naturally. Keep up with the great work bro! Stay dedicated and keep your diet clean! What are your typical work outs and diet? You should be running EVERY morning.

I think it will help with fat loss, you should also take an aromataze inhibitor as fat cells produce aromatase and obese people have higher estrogen levels as a result. Lowering the estrogen will help with fat loss too.

The dose of test you are taking is too small, i would raise it to 1/2cc every 3 days as long as you start taking arimidex or aromasin.

Maybe Im just from the old school, but i think AAS should be introduced once you've reached your maximum genetic potential which you have not done. A good diet with consistent cardio would get you what you are looking for right now. Once you get your body into the right condition and can no longer achieve success naturally, then its time for AAS.

I run about 5 days a week, although not for a great distance due to my bad back. I'd say anywhere from 1/2 mile to a mile. I know this doesn't sound like much but I have done little more than walk to my car or to the kitchen my whole life. Anyways on days that I run I also lift, which I truly enjoy more than I ever thought was possible.
As far as diet I eat a small portion every two hours of high protein/low carb foods. I'm not eating as much veggies as I should, but off to a good start.
Ill tell you what, the ONLY good thing that's come from carrying around 100+ lbs of extra weight my whole life is the fact that now that I'm getting definition in my legs, they are truly massive! Guys at the gym keep telling me how they wish they had my calves.

Thank u guys for your comments and opinions! I know that I'm one of the few fatasses that will truly make the switch because I've made a total lifestyle change and love it.

If you have trouble with running then find a new cardio activity that works. Being heavy you can expect to have bad joints and being out of shape you can expect to be succeptable to muscle strains etc. Try riding a bicycle for an hour each day with a random setting. Something so you go uphill for a while and downhill, uphill, uphill some more, and downhill etc. I'm 5'7 165lbs and I'm just now starting to run and enjoy it. Find you a cardio that doesn't cause so much pain that it keeps you from getting a cardio out of it. If your running 1/2mile to a mile thats typically 3-8minutes of cardio, not very much. Bicycle, rows, even swimming. A lot of people forget about swimming, but if you do laps not only is it great cardio but you work out every muscle with very little strain.

As far as diet when you say low carb foods you should eat carbs in moderation. Carbs are a main source of energy and can keep your metabolism going. Try eating some simple carbs (raisins, applesauce, bran cerials etc) in place of potatoes, rolls, white bread etc. Make the switch from white carbs to brown carbs. Sodium is a big killer too, so keep that to a minimum.

I think running that small amount is a good idea because your working really hard trotting 300lbs for a mile. Since you already started guess its to late to turn back :D just make sure you go a little bit further everyday like a light post or use land marks where you run.

There is no need to be running. Just walk on the treadmill in the morning on an empty stomach at 2mph with 5-8% incline, you will burn fat while preserving muscle.

Does a catabolic state happen a lot less and a lot differently with people that are very overweight? Reason I am asking is because of how important the first meal is after waking up to get your body out of its fasting phase and to prevent catabolism. I agree that when trying to cut or lose weight cardio on an empty stomach works great, but when you say while preserving muscle is what made me think in that direction.

The low intensity cardio (walking) will burn less muscle than higher intensity(running) regardless if its on an empty stomach or not.

Wow, some very differing opinions on this topic. Naturally I'm going to agree with thatbloke because it's exactly what I wanted to hear:D

So running burns muscle? I can walk for the better part of an hour, before I mostly get super bored with it. Just feels like I'm doing more work by running.

Comgrats ! seems like you've decided to go the healthy way. Sounds like you're working very hard and have lost a lot of weight too. Keep up the great work and that dosage of Test you're taking seems very mild and harmless.

you are gonna want to knock that bf% down before doing steroids.

I am 12% bf (see pic) and i still sometimes get headaches and get bp spikes on cycle. the bottom line is that to reach your goal steroids is not the answer... YET. diet and exercise is.

what you've been doing to get yourself to 36% bf is wrong. you need to change your lifestyle.. that means no more fast food, no more fried food, no more soda, no more pizza... no more fatty meats .. no more white pasta's .... no more alcohol.. etc etc. throw the tv away.. instead of spending an hour watching tv, go for a walk or jog instead.

keep us updated as to your results.. and check out the diet and exercise forums, they are excellent. if you work hard and keep a positive mind you will get there

Running burns muscle???

FALSE! Unless you're running a calorie defecit diet no it doesn't .

I have been doing morning cardio on an empty stomach and i know for a fact the body will dip into stored fat for fuel because theres no source of food in the stomach!
immediately after that ,where the bodys demand for nutrients are at their highest a High Calorie,High Protein Shake should be consummed.

This man knows his stuff, I would advise listening to what he has to say!!!!

already made that lifestyle change.

good keep it up. i went through a phase in my early 20's.. let myself get out of shape. was eating oreo's and milk for dinner.. gatorade and sugar laden tea as drinks.

i stopped that nonsense quick though when i realized the ladies were getting scared off casue they didn't like the moon face look ;)

sorry RADAR but have to disagree with you there

i think the statement running burns muscle is missleading, but also ur running wont burn muscle unless in a calorie defeceit is also incorrect

there are many factors that effect what running burns, e.g time running, intensity, diet, muscle size etc

a more muscular person is suseptable toi muscle loss while running since his calorie usage is higher, and therefore burns his carb stores faster, after which the body actually generally can turn to muscle as a primary energy source

its been shown that running at different intensitys can effect the body use of fat stores, usually between 10-40% of its energy will come from fat, muscle is also used even before gylcogen stores are depleted

running also raises cotisol level which are catabolic to muscle, aswell as increase other gluco steroids which prevent inflamtion, but also burn muscle once again

testerone levels also generally fall during intense running, so the enviroment present isnt the best for muscle preservation

however generally its longer distance running that leads ot muscle loss, since glycogen stores become further depleted aswell as testerone level fall furthr, aswell as gluco steroids raise heavily for long periods of time

short burst running, or intense short burst of running generaly have very little effect on muscle catabolism since it generally wont deplete the body, aswell as maintains a different muscle fiber compostion to longer distance running

so running can be very catabolic to muscles, it all just depends on how you run

thid id sldo why steroids are so benefical for fat burning, they maintain a perfectly anabolic enviroment when intense exercise becomes present

when the bodys test levels are usally falling and gluco steroids are rising, anabolic steroids can maintain high levels of test, and block glucosteroids catabolic effect on muscle mass

Well put like that i will agree with you ,there are certain situation that i'm referring to

nothing wrong with your plans goal245 had some good advice about walking. you want to be walking longer to butn more fat. you are not in a pre contest cut so forget all the short muscle preserving stuff. walk the incline treadmil for an hour. it will help you lose fat and do wonders for over all health. this will be the best cardio plan for you. id say do it every day any time doesnt matter just do it and eat healthy as you gradually cut down the meal sizes. i would also look into need2slin. it works verry well to help burn fat and its not a stim.
