Very Imporant Help Please

went to the post office the other day to send cash out... when i got there i was missing a number off the zip code, the girl helped me figure it out... gives me another envlope and tell me to send it in. i had to re fill it out, now i almost positive i filled out the right address... on the return adress luckily i put a real friends address but a fake name.... sent it priority... go to check the tracking number and it says the address was wrong and the package was undeliverable... and it was going to the return adress if the neccesary info was provided....

well is sure hope so ..... i hope i got my bros addy down.. i usually put a fake one all together... i think the lady at the post office new whut it was and took advantage ive done this many times and never had a problem

call the post office and give them the tracking number, tell them that your girlfriend wrote down the adress and that she got the last name wrong. give them the first name, and what the last name was "supposed to be". if you have the tracking number and the adress but are just missing the last name it shouldn't be a problem.

Sounds like you're in a picle. SHould just rent a PO Box at the post office and use that as a return address.

Those happen a lot more than you'd think. You probably DID put the right address on there, infact sometimes they even still get delivered after that message pops up. In any case, if it does come back to you as undeliverable, it'll just end up in your friend's mailbox, so the name on it shouldn't matter (just make up a story as to why you have a letter showing up in your bro's box).

If there is a name and a real address on the letter they HAVE to deliver it to that addy. That's why you see /current resident so often. I would not worry at all about the legalities... Just get the del tracking number so you can get your refund. If they were setting you up you would already know. Just a rookie postal person. The feds would already have a signed warrant and be driving your car by now if it was of any consequence to them.

ended up at my buddies house... the lady at the post office told me the wrong zip code...

learned my lesson to put a real address and name on the return address so i would have to worry...

surprisingly the people at the post office were very helpful
