Using instant oatmeal oats in a shake?

I forgot to buy slow cook oats tonight while at the store. If I dump in some oats from a "Quaker Instant Oatmeal" package...will they be OK?

Also curious if it'd be OK to use them for cooking protein bars...the recipe calls for slow cook oats.

Youll be fine in the shake.... as for the bars, i have no idea.
