Upper pecktorial area

New member
I'm having problems working my upper chest area. I do bench press, dumbell press, and then flys on the bench. After I do pec deck machine. I work my pecks to shit. But I cant seem to get the upper area to build.

I work the sides, bottom, and inner area of the pec. Cant figure out how to get the top area. Thought of doing more dumbell presses, but it didn't do shit.

Help me out.

Thanks!

Why don't you try switchig your workout around. Starting off with incline bench press for a while might help. Also try incline fly's. Remember not to overtrain.

Try incline dumbell presses on a 45 angle and make sure you really feel the squeeze and stretch of every rep. Go as heavy as possable while maintaining good form through out.

keep going with big bulking lifts, and hopefully you'll fill in. i'm kind of sparse in the upper chest as well - there definitely is a genetic factor in that some people just don't have a lot insertions in the upper chest.

good lifting.

Try wide grip barbell bench presses to the neck. I had the same problem & those seemed to work well for me. Just remember... you'll have to lighten up on the amount of weight you use & go slow.

Good luck

I thought incline dumbell presses were for the shoulders?

They do work part of the shoulders but it all comes down to what angle of incline you use

Incline cable flyes making sure to cross your arms at end of rep and squeeze. It's about form, NOT WEIGHT!
