Lucky for you all, Im currently enthralled in shopping for a new phone... so far, this baby is winning my penny:

Samsung SGH-D500

anyone knows about this phone? Its the "Best Phone of 2005 " according to the most prestigious German Consumer Electronics magazine (that probably means Samsung pays them the most in ads), so that is not worth a damn to me... real life users comments is where the cheese is.

I'm pretty sure he's been permanantly banned from EF due to his bad taste in music. Or at least he should be.

It's a "slider" design.... remember the phones in Matrix? kind of the same concept, but the rails are metal, not plastic.

its actually quite small, look here compared to a credit card, basically the same size (you can use it without opening it, unless you need to dial a new number)

heya pintoca my little sis has taht same phone, i was toying with it a few days ago. its pretty good. from what i noticed, the features are pretty good - screen looks good, sound is good (mp3s etc), keypad good to use, size is fine (not as fat as you might think it is...personally im a fan of skinny little phones that dont bulge so much in my pocket, but thats just me) ...overall its a good phone. my sis is at that stage of her life where she researches endlessly before buying things (and then does so on ebay) and for her to get it, im confident that you wont be dissapointed

before you buy, though, take a look at an about to be released phone by motorola called the sliver - that thing is very small and is featured up

right now the Razor is all the hype here... I actually looked at it, but with very slim phones you still have to sacrifice some features.

I got it simply because the deal was a no brainer. Thanks for the comment man
