updated diet pics....8 weeks out

needsize

Elite Mentor
Platinum
These were taken Aug 27, 8 weeks out
Those who saw the pics taken with my video camera on the other thread, these are a lot better, but for some reason are still coming out blurry through my scanner, but you get the idea
Stats were 5'8", and 218lbs
looking at these I can tell my poses are off too, but I have 8 weeks to fix that

holy hell u look great. i would love to see your back nice and shredded, but u got 8 weeks. maybe for the back double bis twist your forearms back. that was a great poser told me to do to help my peaks look bigger... you got a great trainer, and can't wait to see the pics at 4 weeks. step on a stage now and you would own, can't wait to see the pics 8 weeks from now.

You look 2-3 weeks out. I've seen guys look exactly the same and go in and crush the comp. Good work NS :Chef: :tuc:

Need bro , 2 questions:

1- What kinda cycle you use to get ripped to the bones for steping onstage ?

2-How do you train your abs , cause they look pretty damn good ..

Victor

Thanks guys
back is still way soft compared to the front, but at least this time I know its water
According to my trainer, I am right on track for 8 weeks, definitely not ahead at all
calories are at 2600 right now

How low will you cut your cals pre show ?? or I should say will you cut your cals more as you get closer to the show ??

This condition is professional level. I can't find a flaw.
If you have some grace and flow in your movements, and look like you
are having fun, any contest should be pure pleasure with high recognition.

Here is the next challenge:
You have arrived! What do you do with all this? (And I'm not bs'ing you.)

You can tell that the back is only water because the hams are comming in. Your hams are great they will help put you over the top. Right on track for 8 weeks out. Are you cycling carbs or fats?

holy shit as diesel said, your legs are a joke, your torso is a joke, you are a specimen man. k to you for killing it. when do you plan on goin pro?

Damned impressive! Looking good and symmetrical as hell except right and left bicep which seem are comparable in size but different in shape. Did you injure your right bi once upon a time??

Thanks everyone
This size is only good for levels 1 and 2, which I am doing within 2 weeks of each other this time around. After that, I am taking a year to a year and a half with this trainer, to come back at least 15lbs bigger, before attempting to tackle the provicials and nationals
I'm not cycling carbs or anything, she has me at a set level of everything, and wants me to maintain it to "T". as I get closer she will either add cardio(god I hope not), or start taking away food
I am only at best 200 carbs a day, so feel really flat, especially my quads due to the 1 1/2 hours of cardio 5x a week

I agree you need to tighten up but who doesn't at 8 weeks out. You look great bro, nice work. As far as a weak spot that you should work on... can't see one. Next set of pics how 'bout a most muscular to get a look at those traps.

thanks, there are definitely a few weak points, despite raping them 2x a week with all drop sets and supersets for the last 2 years, calves blow, and back and shoulders need some work, especially shoulders, but thats what the new trainer is for. Too be honest I am somewhat proud that I have gotten this far, built everything, all on my own, never had a trainer help me build any of this. Now that I have a pro level one, no messing around
here is a most muscular one but it was taken with the other camera, and traps are washed out. They do need to come up, but have come light years since the last show

Aug2008.jpg

I can't help but think "so feel really flat, especially my quads" what the hell will they look like when you fill back out!

Was it cold outside that day? lol anyways man you look great really great improvments!!! good job man and good luck!!

Ulter said:
Until you're going for your pro card they aren't going mark off much for those calves. They are still impressive and judges are usually considerate of the fact that calves are genetic. Even Arnold didn't have them.

now thats good to know as they are really pissing me off

I was just thinking about all this too, with all the UG lab bashing I see all the time, everything I have built here, was all with UG stuff, from the same lab(except my first cycle), so I guess I havent dont too bad on it.... :)

No way level 2 and 3 this year and nationals next by the looks of things with the trainer I think you only need one good bulker with her then nationals.

I forgot which show it is your doing first is it London then Ottawa?

It's amazing seeing your progress over the last few years, I remember pics from early '03 and you look a lot more jacked now.. especially that back.

Hey man any shows around T-Dot?
BTW--give us your fucking AB routine man!!!
And what cardio??? bike, run, stairs???? do tell.

Quick question for us in the U.S. How does the level 2,3 and nationals work in Canada? Do you have to qualify for each level. Here all you have to do is hit a national qualifier and you can do any national level show.

Needsize can correct me if I am wrong but in our province Ontario you place top 3 in a level 1 show you move up to level 2 place top 3 in a level 2 on to level 3 place top 3 there and your at nationals. I am not sure that if it is exactly the same in all the provinces.

Lookin good. Uve made sum hug improvements in ur conditioning. U have a high lat insertion like myself, and well....that just sucks for us. But over time u can thicken that up. Chin ups and deads!....Id try site injections with your delts to help bring them up.But yeah, u need those caps for when ur standing relaxed. U can probably learn to pose around that. Like hitting that side chest pose when sum1 does a most muscular or flexing the quads cus i would say side chest and quads are ur strong points.

Superqt is right, top 2 placings move you up a level, and level 4 is the nationals. If you place top 3, you have a year to compete again, or you lose your qualification, but if you win your weight class, then you get 2 years, which is my goal. That give me at least a solid year with this trainer to add mass, and fix the spots that need it, before tackling the last two levels.

My ab routine has been posted in the training forum a bunch of times. Its really simple, and its the only one I have done for about 8 years...
Start on a decline bench with the angle as steep as it goes, slowly lower yourself about 1/2 way down, to where you really feel the resistance, then hold for a slow count of 5, then come back up. Thats one rep, try 5x5 to start, its a lot harder than it sounds if you make sure you hold that 5 count. Once you can get that many rep, either add more weight, or reps. It wont make your waist thick as mine was under 30" at the last show

My current stack is tren/winny/eq and just added in masteron, all UG stuff

cardio is treadmill in the morning, bike in the afternoon

galaxy, the deads dont do squat for me. Two years ago I could rep 500lbs for well over 10 reps, 5550lbs for 6 or so, raw with no belt or anything, and still had no back. This last year or so, I started doing them only once every 2-3 weeks, but concentrating on heavy chins, and a lot more rows, and that really helped. But once this is over, its all up to my trainer, her guys have the biggest backs I have ever seen

Omega, I've never tried that pose

That's cool that you have those levels to work up to. At best there are more prestigous shows than others here in the states before you can do a national show.

I always thought there were more levels in the US, I know the competition sure is tougher

You must spread some Karma around before giving it to needsize again.

;) thx for adressing the questions bro

no naps, 17 month old baby that feel my times with him is more valuable, so not much chance of that. I get about 8 hours a night though

No and there are a ton of national qualifiers here though. Here in NJ is a tough place to compete. Some shows are thougher than others. There are two here in NJ a couple of weeks from the Nationals so they are tough as hell, a lot of ringers trying to re-qualify. My last show the guy that won was your height but 217! He placed 10th at the Junior Nationals a month earlier, NJ also had the 2nd and 5th place finishers to Phil Heath at the Jr Nat's. The nationlals here are brutal he only placed 10th but he looked silly! Imagine what you would look like with another 20lbs of pure muscle on you and just making the top ten! :eek2:

215lbs is the weight I want to be when I come back next time, at 5'8" I think that gives me a legit shot at the nationals up here

DieselGunz said:
215 at 5-8 is stacked, hell of a job Need

that should at least make me competitive at that level

At 5'8 what is your weight now bro ?

Because I am 6'1 , and my GOAL is to reach 215-220 lbs and 5 % .

but I am still on a GALAXY far AWAY from that :(

At 215 and your structure you will do some damage. No reason that you can't do it with your new trainer. After the show when you put th cal's back in you should explode with growth.

Always looking good bro. Hardcore!

It's great that you have a plan with this new trainer. It makes a world of a difference. You did it on your own to such a great extent and now you're getting that extra push to the finish line, so to speak... but it's just starting for you. I see a lot of good stuff in your future. Good luck with it man!

Now go win a set of Golf clubs somewhere before the show. lol

What can I say...besides...Your legs are like ummm that big creature...oh yes a horsy...

Yea dude you look nice and jacked or should i say nice and shredded?? Im lost

I am definitely proud that I got this far without a trainer, things ended up fairly symmetrical considering. But in the last year or so I've had a brutal time gaining more size, and I know that wont be much of a problem with her

Thing is man, she's been there and done that so very very smart of you to hook up with her. There is more to competing that just being a big mofo and for sure she'll be able to help you with that too. I'm thinking just having her in your corner your confidence will go up. Even if she does have a bit of a deep voice I think she's cool LOL.

Who is your trainer and what show is coming up in eight weeks? Sorry if I missed either of these throughout the thread.

Your pics look very good. I know you're holding in your back, but that's where guys do. Your poses are good too. I would just point out to remember to arch your low back and roll your chest up. You looked just a little crunched over in your side chest and rear lat. Otherwise you look really good. Nice small waist ratio.

I wish you good luck. I competed in Jr Natls in 2003 when the winner of my middleweight class took overall. Amanda Dunbar was in my class then and took 3rd that year, but just won the USA's overall this year. You never know what kind of year its going to be, but I have a couple of suggestions for you.

If you have not been in front of the National judges panel yet this year - try to get in front of them before you do a national show. What I did was the Pittsburgh which was very close to the Jr Natls. The head judge Sandy Ranali remembered me from the Pittsburgh at the Jr Natls and called me out in the 2nd call out. It really makes a difference to be seen and remembered as it can get really political too - especially with the guys as there are so many.

Good luck to you and any ?'s at all I would love to assist. Take care.

thanks for the feedback and advice, much appreciated as I know you have a lot of experience. My trainer is Laura Binetti, brahma_bull posted a link to some stuff about her if you're not familiar with her. Her competitive stats are awesome, but not nearly as impressive as what I've seen her do as a trainer
These two shows are just level 1 and 2 in ontario here. After that I really want to take at least a year or more to fix a few spots, and add about another 15lbs, before tackling the provincials and nationals.
I've always thought that I had the shape to do well at this, but just need the size to compete with the big boys...hence the name needsize....

oh she sure is, first time I met with her, i had already dropped almost 25lbs on my own, thought I was doing well. She said I was soft and behind, and started me training 2x daily, with 45 minutes of cardio in the morning, 35 in the evening(which she changed to 45 next time I saw her). She has caught me up now, but what a road....
I just cant wait till the offseason, i want her to make me a mass monster!!

it was actually 6lbs I lost this week, pretty dam happy with that

I am still taking in 2600 calories, been the same for around 8 weeks. if i keep dropping weight, then I am pretty sure she will leave them alone, but if I stop, ot it slows down too much, I believe she will be cutting back the carbs, ie, 250 grams of potatoe per serving instead of 300, that kind of stuff. When you have been 100% consistent every day with your diet, little changes like that really do make a difference

That is very true! Small changes at that stage in the game can make a big difference.
