Ultimate Fighter 3

Bisping looks good in this limited pool of talent but entering the UFC will be a whole new ball game.

Kendall seems hungry.

Ed reminds me of Chris Leben with his chip on the shoulder attitude.

We will see how this plays out in the next 2 weeks - finale on June 28th.

I find it interesting that Leben and Ed are both on team Quest with Courture ( one of the most humble, well spoken guys) would produce such shit talkers.

I thought the same thing. I hate talkers. Although last season the black wrestler was all a cocky fighter and I ended up liking him and he fought a HELL of a fight for the final. A couple of my buddies wrestled him at the college level. Ed is solid.. and you will be seeing more of him even if he doesnt win the final.

Forrest would dominate Bis. Forrest has fought and proved himself in some hardcore battles with champions. Did you really watch the skill level of those cage matches? Sloppy. Not UFC standard. Shit I would love to try one of those undergroung cage fights.

Rory is gay :rainbow:

And he apparently can't smell urine...lol

I'm goin with Kendall cuz Ed's standup is severely lacking and Kendall's limbs are friggin long.

Yeah, and the Brit for the LH

Should be a good night next Thurs!

The flying knee was sweet. Seems like there have been quite a few very successfull flying knees recently in UFC. Definately something worth practicing for you MMA competitors out there.

I dont see a lot of good chimura's in UFC - lots of Pride guys use it succesfully though.

Dammnit, I only caught the first round last night while at work; we got toned out (of course) and missed the rest. Did Herman win by KO with that knee?

I damn well missed the knockout flying knee by Spencer Fisher too. Those are always impressive. Last time I DID see one was when a guy from Ramon Dekkers camp landed a flying knee to the jaw of a local fighter. Result? Seizure. Gotta love those flying knees!

No, Herman G N P'd Rory until he gave his back and got rear naked choked.

Josh, got dominated and manhandled like a bitch in round one against Jesse, but to his credit, survived. Jesse went for a take down and got caught with a guillotine. I train with Jesse and he is a very talented kid. I think this show was a rude awakening for him. He has all the physical tools in the world, but now I think he has learned that he is not invincible and that every opponent deserves respect. Watching him train the last few weeks for his fight with Matt Hammil, I see a big difference in his intensity and focus. We shall see if it translates in the ring.

Ross, landed a big right hand on Bisping, but did not follow up. Bisping landed the flying knee and finished Ross off. Good fight for the short time it lasted.

Are they fighting in TUF3 finale or on the Tito/Shamrock UFC?

Should be interesting, usually when two opponents have similar strengths ( in this case wrestling ), they end up not trying to fight to that strength and end up in a striking war.

Id give the edge to Matt from what I saw on the show, but it sounds like Jesse is more focused now so I could be wrong. To be honest on the show he struck me as too laid back for the sport, like he lacked the intensity of the fighters who are in the finals.

I am sure Matt is training hard. I give stand up edge to Jesse, but Wrestling to Matt. It should be a good fight.

Jesse is actually pretty intense, but he is quiet most the time. He's only 21... so I think he was more laid back because he was the child in the house.

much better fights last night, I was beginning to wonder about the show. Bisbane definately is the more well rounded fighter and I give him the advantage in the final.

As far as the middleweights Ed Herman is good but Kendall is HUNGRY, that could make all of the difference in the world. Besides he can kick and knee Ed from across the ring.
