Tyson is a has-been bum. Yes, he will always have devastating, one-punch knock out power but lets look at his fights since 1990.
-1990 KO'd by Buster DOuglas. Douglas was/is a .500 club fighter.
-1991 Tyson fought two contested fights against Donovon Ruddock that both went the distance. Ruddock was known as a feather-fisted heavyweight, yet he neutralized much of Tyson's offense.
-1995 Pete McNeely; FIX
-1996 Bruce Seldon: FIX
-1996: Frank Bruno: OVer the hill Bruno gets KO'd by Tyson
-1996: Buster Mathis JR: An obese Mathis is KO'd in RD 3
-1996: Tyson is KO'd by Holyfield
-1997: Tyson fouls out to avoid losing to Holyfield for a second time.
-1999: Frans Botha: Tyson is behind on points and taking serious punishment when he lands a devastating uppercut.
-1999: Orlin Norris: FIX
-2000: Brian Nielsen: A 240lb Tyson fails to drop untested, out of shape, feather fisted challenger.
Face it guys, Tyson has not been a championship calibre fighter in 14 years. It is pathetic that the Heavyweight championship is still being disputed by the guys who came of age in the '84 Olympics. Tyson is a side show. He doesn't deserve a title shot.

Lewis destroyed David Tua, a very Tysonesque fighter. Something to consider.

I think the reference to ALi/Frazier is something to consider.

The fight comes down to Tyson's willingness to take the jab all night and I don't think he has the heart.

Let's be honest. Who the hell has Tyson beat since he's been released? No one except a bunch of bums. McNeely? Frank Bruno? Buster Mathis? Please. I won't get into the fixed thing because I don't have too.
He's faced a top level fighter, Holyfield twice, and got beat twice. And if Lewis comes in prepared he will handle Tyson because he is a comparable to Holyfield except he's bigger, stronger and younger. Tyson has a puncher's chance since still has power and Lewis has a suspect chin but a puncher's chance is all he has. This is not the same Tyson from 1991. He was no head movement, sorry defense, and doesn't even work the body anymore. He's just a head hunter now.

No one who is a true fight fan or sport historian could even suggest something so ridiculas as Tyson being one of the greast of all time. I agree with Cornholio. I agree with Cornholio on this one, if Lewis keeps Tyson away with the jab then he'll win either on points or by KO/TKO.
If Tyson gets past the jab then he should knock Lewis out.
This is all assuming Tyson doesn't self destruct though.

Sounds like Tysons training is pretty intense too, 6 times a week, 3 times a day, for two hours at a time...running 6 miles a day.
Dont know about Lewis, his camp are keeping quiet.
Anyway, the fight's gonna be about $55 on HBO, not sure what it will be in the UK.

I seen eariler someone called his wins over "feather fisted" Donovan Razor Ruddock nothing to brag about. Well you can no longer participate in boxing discussions you fucking moron Ruddock had/has one of the most feared left hooks in the game it comes almost totally from the side and can KNOCK mother fuckers out with one punch. I don't know why people who know NOTHING about a subject even get into the discussion. Anyway like I have always said and will continue until june 8th when its reality TYSON IN 3. I will be the first to post after the fight I think the title will be TYSON DESTROYS LEWIS LIKE I TOLD YOU NUGGAS.

I think Tysons best bet will be head movement. If he can move like Kevin Rooney and Ronnie Lott worked with him, the jabs will be ineffective and he'll destroy lewis. If not, he will be jabbed to the unemployment line. I'll buy it but wouldn't trust either enough to bet on it. They'll both show to fight but who will train more effectively?

Well look at Tyson of old when he was great? Did he talk shit? No. He was quiet while the other guy talked and Tyson just knocked him out when they got to the ring? No he is the one talking shit while Lewis is quiet. And Tyson is no Ali.
