who said that americans actually own the world and everyone have to bow down to them? Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. When was the last time your mother country was attacked by terrorists. I'm not sure. But the point is that I hope tuc one day opens a snickers bar laced with strycnine, loaded with razor-blades and consumes it with a glass of expired orange juice.

my country was hit by the States at 1999, bombed where they were NOT suppose to bomb at all: hospitals, the chinese embassy, the fields with corn and all of this was FAR away from Kosovo (I consider Yugoslavia still as my country cause I grew up as Yugoslavian and after that it all fell apart and every state became a country). I still DONT hate the americans, cause its NOT the whole nation, its only the politicians. My country few years ago got hit by albanian terrorist joined with alqueda. So, what should I say to THAT?

I will never forget being stranded in D.C. trying to figure out how I was going to get home to VA, find a pay phone to call my family to make sure my brother was okay and to let me hysterical sister and mother know I was fine. I will never forget seeing parents grieve around a memorial wall located on the campus of Syracuse University every December to mourn the loss of their daughters/sons due to the bombing of the Pan Am flight in Dec. 1988.

However, you cannot preach about what is great about this country and be in denial of the wrongs it has done domestically and internationally. Tuc, Goldendelicious, and other members have a right to express their opinions about our culture, government, food, people, etc. At least their opinions are done in a tactful manner. I cannot count how many times I have seen ignorant opinions expressed about other cultures, religions, ethnicities, countries, etc. by American members. This is an Internet Chat Board, as long as their posts do not violate EF's TOS, they are free to say whatever they want (and yes, you are free to disapprove of their post via the use of Karma). But they are not going to change their opinions because of your bombs. Continously bombing them is nothing but a bullying tactic. If you don't like what they have to say, put them on Ignore.

IMO, most of the time, only reason America helps other countries is cause of money or because Russia is protecting it. Yugoslavia was bombed because the affair Clinton-Levinski, to take the att somewhere else. No nation desperatly needs america, when they go there, they dont know TO LEAVE!!!
America goes out of the way to welcome the poor and less priviledged? Yes, so they can work the lowest jobs so americans can have houscleaners, dishwashers, kitchen workers in restourants (potato peelers). Have they blinded you so bad?
On the other hand, there is some good stuff too that america is doing. So, it all comes together: if you say something bad about the States, there is always a reason to like this country too. Thats why I'm here, but I see all thats going on

Get all of your facts straight BEFORE you make such statements.

Minority is given alot that even Myself as a pure bred american citizen couldn't get if I begged and or were homeless.. and yes been there done that. Was denied Grants for school after they figured out I was not Minority(mistake on my grant application and I corrected it when I realized it) Honey I could go on for days right now about the speical treatment aliens get that american's are denied. Maybe this varies from state to state... Doubtful but giving the benifit of doubt here.

If its so damn bad for these poor less priviledged why do they continue to pour in? They are given medical care, paid by me might I add that when i was unemployeed for a shot peorid of time I coudn't even get temporary for neither myself or my kids... They are allowed to be expept from taxes for a peorid of time I think 5 years.. Who the fuck give me exemption from taxes EVER.

They are given alot, though some end up at low paying jobs.. etc etc.. Sure, but there are just as many americans in these jobs too..

Great Point...I too had the hard route...It is not fair by any means that immigrants get free schooling...free food...a place to live and all on our dollar. Then to boot they complain which is a spit in our faces. I say if you dont like here ...go HOME.....Granted our county was formed on immigrants but i think the time has come and gone and our borders should be closed and the main focus should be on our people...the middle class americans who pay 30% taxes and cant afford to enjoy the simple pleasures in life all because we are to busy helping people who dont appreciate in the first place

ok, Yugoslavia was bombed by america because of the Kosovo issue, but they had NO BUSINESS going up north (Kosovo is in the south bordering Macedonia) to bomb crop so people loose it and cant sell it, to bomb century old churches, to bomb hospitals....all of these far away from the target!
In America there IS opportunity, so there is in Germany, England, Italy, everywhere in Europe. Freedom - not so much, only the freedom of speech. Yes, half of them send money back home, but the way that the dollar is going down, its not worth all that right now, anyways.

with the targets - I was trying to show Chefbone that its not only the States that got targeted, that my old country did too and by =America - I still dont hate this country. About the sending money thing - yes, thank god that they have that + income, but its still a downslide with the dollar going down, the euro going up and all the expenses over ther going sky high too
