Trying out Red Dead Redemption tonight!!!

There isn't anything on tv tonight, so I decided to try give this a try. My brother gave this to me a week ago, and I am too lazy at night to play video games. So I am sipping a rum and giving this a shot.
 
let me know how you like it. I still have Fallout 3 sitting here that I haven't played.
 
I liked fallout 3. In depth though, probably a winter game where you have 50 hours to blow

Pick3, probably the remote control
 
It was fun for a while. THen I sat at a poker table in the game and it was fun. Played the table for half an hour
 
Cheating in poker in that game is pretty cool
And if you get caught just kill them

You need a specific piece of clothing.

I always just went around lasso-ing bishes and dropping them off in the middle of nowhere. Usually followed by execution.

The game is pretty fun, especially how random it can be. I was riding from one town to the other once, this old guy flagged me down for one of those side missions (his carriage was stolen, wanted me to go track it down and kill the criminals). As he was in the middle of explaining what happened:

"Sir, a pack of bandits stole my EEIEIEIIAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYAAAAAAAA......"

A cougar jumped out of the bushes and mauled him to death.

Yea definitely its own world where you can go anywhere and anything can happen at anytime

I really enjoyed the game, lots of fun. I will hit it tonight when kids go down
 
It's fun as hell. Actually has a decent story line to it. The mexican war shit goes on a bit too long in my opinion. I have a solid 3-4 hours left of gameplay before I beat it. I'm taking it slow on purpose....because then I gotta buy a new game. :)

I tried it out too. It looks pretty damn impressive, but damn those clunky R* controls all to hell. I do like the targeting better in this one though over GTAIV; seems tighter. Fun shooting coyotes on horseback.

Meh, thought the controls were pretty solid for red dead

and yeah, gears 3 is going to be sick. one of my favorite franchises ever. it's probably the only game i can play over and over single/co-op campaign and still enjoy almost as much as the first time i played it, although i played dragon-age origins in 3 different playthroughs
 
thing I don't like about ROckstar games is how hard it is to lock on enemies at times, frustrating
 
yeah, I have had newborn kids last two years. So video games took a major back seat and still do. I tried la naoir so I decided to give this a try

SPOILER DONT READ IF YOU HAVEN'T BEAT IT























So I made it my mission my tonight to get some progress on this game.

Right away, my xbox started acted all weird, gave me a BEEP and then
froze when I started playing it.

I took all the connections out, blew them out, and then restarted, golden.

Play RDD for about 1.5 hours, until that dude (the Nemesis) jumps off
the cliff then dies.

Shortly after, my Xbox froze up and started flashing white boxes
striped vertically up the screen.

I let it sit, reboot it, and I'm back to where I was 1.5 hours ago.
FUCK FUCK FUCK BULLSHIT

Was I close to the end? I felt like the story was going to continue
for some reason. If I was at the end than I won't bother.



Side note, if this Xbox Elite breaks on me and I don't get it
repaired for free, I'm gonna lose it. This is my THIRD XBOX!!!!
 
I love gameplay on xbox. But I went through 3-4 machines already. Pisses me off that I had to wait a month for xbox and they gave me nothing for my trouble
 
If u have a receipt from the last xbox repair - it's good for a few yeras with new warranty. Yeah it sux, they never give u a new xbox - just another quickly repaired one.

and no you're not even close to being finisjhed. Might take u around 100 hours dude.

That is what is so gay. Even if you just bought it after store warrenty, they would do that. So stupid that you buy a new machine and they give you a referb. Just make the damn thing work
