TRT & Body Recomp log

Hey All.

New measurements:
Weight: 108.2kg's (114.2-108.2=6kg's)
Body Fat: 32.42% (35.08/73.12) (178/114/42.0)

New measurements
Weight 108.8kg's (114.2-108.8=5.4Kg's)
Body Fat:32.16% (34.99/73.81)(178/113.5/42.0)

Small weight creep, but not concerned as I increased my cals a bit from priot week, bf% is going in the right direction at least.

Forgot to measure BP and blood sugar, but will prolly be the same.

'Kay, as per adrenal fatigue post, I am going to concentrate on losing fat and improving bf% for the next 30 days and then looking at my adrenals again.

So, having said that, I will only post results again in 30 days or so...

How do I post photo's?

Cheers
H

Hi All, guys, gals...

So, it has been 40 days since my last post.

During this time, I took the opportunity to reflect on what it was that I was doing, especially after Zyglamail's observation that I was suffering from analysis paralysis :) So I went back to the drawing board in the Bat cave and realised that whilst it may work for some/most people, I myself cannot aim to attain multiple goals simultaneously...So, I have created a road map for myself that concentrates on specific phases with specific goals that are measurable...I will reveal these phases as I have completed them. I do it this way only because I want to avoid getting to much information again, and possibly derail myself. It is true that whilst most people, in general only want to help, there are so many disparate views on what and what not to do, that it is impossible to follow all of them. So, I have created the plan and will follow it, and will reveal results along with what I did and how I did it after the phase, if anyone is interested.

So, 1st phase (Catabolic Phase) was 40 days.
Goals: To decrease insulin insensitivity; to improve bad eating habits; to give glands a rest (especially adrenals); to give organs a rest (especially liver given exogenous T); to give body a rest; to clear mind; to decrease BF
Modalities: Day 1 - Day 14, Master Cleanse detox diet; Day 15 - Day 36, Water Fast; Day 37 - Day 40, re-introduce fruit & veggies via juice and small portion solids. (Coffee (de-caf) and rooibos tea, with milk re-introduced at day 24 to date) I must say, you get a renewed appreciation for food and the different tastes after such a prolonged fast...Man it was good to take solids again ;)
Exercise: No planned workouts, did body weight as and when fancy took me, but stayed physically active througout. No drop in max effort strength but endurance was affected, obviously. But new vitality appeared at around day 28. Which is a bonus as this is one of the big things that was missing from my life.

Anyway, I ended up with the following at the end of this phase: (Keep in mind that I was 91.4 before taking solids and carbing up for 3 days, so lean mass below was actually 3.6Kg's less @ 69.379...)

Weight: 95 Kg's
BF%: 23.184
FMass: 22.021 Kg
LMass: 72.979
Dropped from a 38 inch pant size to a loose fitting 34 inch pant size.

So, there you have it. Not bad I think, especially compared to last measurements in previous post?

Phase 2 is the stabilisation phase. Will report back once that phase is finished.

Any comments are welcome, take care.

Thanks
H

PS. Finished the Aromasin course of 20mg M,W,F and the TRT dosage is now stable at 180mg/week.

Kay, stabilisation phase is complete...

New data:
Weight: 99.3 Kg's
BF%: 20.91
FMass: 20.76 Kg
LMass: 78.54 Kg

So everything is headed in the right direction. The weight gain I put down to rehydration of muscles and further glycogen replenishment. I see a definite growth in arms, chest and legs, maybe back too, but can't physically see that...Still fitting into my 34 inch pants and the belt is down to the last peg. Unfortunately I did not take muscle measurements after the fast to see the difference in comparison to today and going forward. At least the veins in my shoulders, biceps and forearms are starting to pop out during exercise. Never had that before....

During the last 3 weeks or so I ate pretty clean during the week, made use of IF and exercised 6 days out of 7 in the week. Tabata once a week, slow cardio everyday and weights every other day. My aim was to hit all three metabolic pathways. I do find that the Tabata smokes me for at least two days (hence my question re supporting the CNS)

I have not strung together 3 weeks of exercise in a VERY long time, so I am chuffed with that effort. I put it down to BCAA's before and after working out, as well as protein and carbs post exercise in liquid form and my biggest meal after the exercise. If I could just get rid of the fatigue post Tabata that would help with motivation, as for me, it takes a mammoth effort to get into the gym the day after Tabata.

Next phase is focussed fat loss. Dropping the rest days, cycling macronutrients throughout the diet cycle as well as during the day. Going mostly low carb, but with a high carb refeed once a week. Plan is to continue with the 3 metabolic pathway exercise plan, but may add or drop certain exercises to prevent adaptation by the body. Also adding an ECA stack during this phase.

So what do you think, is the progress par for the course, or am I a bit behind the curve?

PS ito HRT. All things remain equal so far. Still only making use of 180mg/ml Test E per week (300mg/ml concentration). No other items being used.

Peace,

H

Eish....
All was going swimmingly until I developed an abcess in one of my molars... :(

So, going to finish the course of antibiotics for 7days, have the tooth removed (plenty of mechanical damage, so it cannot be saved) and will then get back with the program.

Don't want to sound like a sissy, but the pounding in the jaw during heavy (for me at least) compounds is not kosher....

Will keep all up to date.
