trt 6 weeks in and not too happy

My next consultation is next Thursday. I am going to press for weekly injections. I will update as soon I get back from the doctor. Thanks.

IIs it possible that You are just aromatising and producing more Estrogen? That happened to me when I tried to regulate DOWN the amount of arimidex I was using. I got very letahrgic,
Doc told Me to take my .5 mg of arimidex 3 times a week as prescribed. It immediately helped.....I mean like an hour later I felt like I was shot out of a cannon

Isn't it standard protocol to add an estrogen reducer??

- I like test ethanate 1/week

- Even if you are on full-time HRT, I still believe taking 3-4 weeks off every now and then helps

- Every time I cut my armidex below 0.5mg EoD, I regret it for a number of reasons

Caution: Those aren't mainstream views and I may be dead wrong. But it works for me. I don't do real HRT, I just cycle regularly.

My doc did not give the option of adex. Actually since I have been reading these boards and researching I think I probably am better informed than my doctor. lol. If, after my results, my estro comes back high could I self prescribe liquidex(research chem version of adex)if my dr doesn't give me the option or wont? maybe .25 eod to start?
I will say that i feel like i have been retaining some water especially after day 10. It's weird because for about 7 days(which is the half life of cyp)I feel great; lean, strong, focused no water retention. Then on day 8 it is like night and day. I start to feel lethargic, argumentative, bloated ,dizzy. These feeling build till day 14 when my next injection is given then I feel great again.

I personally love a little adex while on-cycle and 0.25mg EoD is pretty conservative.

You may also need to increase your injection frequency though. It sounds like there may be two issues here.

There are, I am going back to the doc soon for my bloodwork/consultation. I am going to press for weekly injections which i think will help a lot. And then depending on my bloodwork results will see what I can do to combat any negative results/ side effects. I will post the results so ya'll can help me figure out the next course of action. And thanks again for all the suggestions so far.

You should be requesting to do your own injections, so you can pick your own frequency. You might even want to go E4D. If he wants to up the dose AND lets you inject yourself that's a win/win for you. Perhaps you can work it out so you're doing 125-150mg E/W.

I did discuss doing self-injections on my first visit. He said I needed to build some trust with him. I figure that if I can go for weekly appointments for maybe 3-6 months then I'll ask to get a prescription again.

your doc wants money for you to come in and get the shots. R u in an HMO...if he insists on bi-weekly inj then insist for your medical record to go somewhere else. Personally I like to do 80mg cyp 2x's week

Update:
Just had my appointment with the urologist. We were supposed to go over the results of my blood test. Well when I was able to see him he basically asked me how I was feeling. I told him that I felt great for the first 7-9 days then became lethargic, unmotivated, tired, etc. He didn't tell me the results of my blood test, but recommended that we increase the dosage up front but continue bi-weekly. (I am on 200mg every two weeks) I told him that I wanted to be more stable, so he said every 10 days. I was insistent that every week would be optimal. To my surprise he agreed and also told me to bring my wife in for my next injection, so the nurse could show her how to inject. He said he would give me script and set an appointment for 6 months out!! This is what I really wanted from the beginning. I did have to ask the nurse on my way out what my testosterone came out to be and she said it was 350!! I was 250 before i ever took an injection.
So i think this goes to show that every 2 weeks is a roller coaster ride for your levels.
I wanted to say thanks for everyone's suggestions on how/what to say to my Dr. You also helped me gain enough knowledge to know what will be best for my body.
Does anyone have any recommendations for support supps? How will I know if I need and AI? Should i consider hcg with the test? I know my doctor doesn't know how to prescribe these things accurately. (I asked him about them in the beginning and he suggested I speak to an endo)
