Triangle bar???

Do you mean the trap bar? The one that you stand in and looks like <>?

For deads, they're great. Squatting with one would be bothersome, IMHO.
 
For deads - the bar is very good. It helps to focus the lift more on your hamstrings then your lower back. Unless you're looking to work your lower back OR are powerlifting - I would say go with the diamond bar.


As for squats. Uh, unless you have really WIDE shoulders to put the bar on. Otherwise - no.
