I wasn't going to do this because I have a written log I carry around.. but I'm so bored here at work and I'll get paid to do this :)

7:30 oatmeal (1/2)c, 1 scoop protein powder, Low-fat strawberry yogurt
275 Cal, 3.5 grams of fat, 29.5 grams of protein, 29.5 grams of carbs

10:30 Grapefruit, and a Zone Bar
292 Cal, 7.2 grams of fat, 16.2 grams of protein, 25.8 grams of carbs

2:40 Beef Jerky, and All bran Cinnamon bar
290 Cal, 4 grams of fat, 28 grams of protein, 37 grams of carbs

Yes I know... I was at the courthouse and did not preplan!!!! My goal is actually to lose fat and gain muscle... Any suggestions on ratios?

O.k. wrong order... but same ratio... Catch me on the technicality.
I'm going to get some pictures done in the next week or so... I expect some constructive criticism on what I need to work on :)

No technicality......

a 50/30/20 would have been wrong.

Alright so I was bored last night and cleaned out my whole kitchen.... Then I couldn't sleep last night and went grocery shopping at 5:30 this morning. Perfect time to go!
So here it goes....
5 a.m. Viactiv Chew, Egg Beaters, Lowfat cheese, Cream of Wheat, 1/2 scoop protein
230 cal, 1.5 g fat, 25 g protein, 25 g carb

8 a.m. will be protein with water
120 cal, 2 g fat, 20 g protein, 4 g carb

Did my measuring this morning and ummm a bit confused...
I'm not looking at the weight since female issues will be playing in that matter...
Here's the differences since Dec 29th:
Dec 29th Jan12
Neck: 13 1/2 12 3/4
Shoulders: 40 1/2 40
Chest: 36 35 1/2
Upper Waist: 30 28
Lower Waist: 33 1/2 32 3/4
Hips: 36 3/4 34 1/2
Upper (RT) arm: 12 1/2 11 1/2 (12 1/2 flexed)
Upper (LT) arm: 12 11 (12 flexed)
Thigh (RT): 22 1/4 21 3/4
Thigh (LT): 23 22
Calf (RT): 13 1/2 13 1/4
Calf (LT): 13 1/2 13 1/4

Can someone explain what the heck is going on with my numbers???
I have cut down on cardio, increased calories by about 400, and have been doing a LOT more lifting, and eating twice the amount of protein. I'm happy with the inch loss around the waist.... I have gained 1 pound of weight on the scale, and I think I may have done my body fat wrong the last time... I'm new to that whole thing... so I really can't rely on those numbers but I'll put them up for your own viewing pleasure.
Dec 29 : 24.9% (supposedly), Jan 12 : 20.5% (I think) Does female issues jack with the electronic calipers??
I have also been taking Thermorexin, Yohimburn, Levorex, and Glucorell-r

Why sweet potaot BEFORE the pork and beans??

Thanks Shadow for the response... I was looking up approximation of how much oil/fat I would need. I was taking 1000mg of flax seed oil but read the caption below... and of course I was shocked.
(Capsules containing flaxseed oil are convenient for traveling, but can be quite expensive in comparison to the liquid form. Also, a large number of capsules--approximately 14 containing 1,000 mg of oil each--are needed to get the equivalent of 1 tablespoon of oil.)
So can I substitue 1/2 T of olive oil in my shake? Not sure how that would taste... but that would make my totals more of a 40/30/30 becuase I plugged it into that fitday websites log... This is what it said perspectively:
41/31/28, 1632 cal

That would be great......

I typicall do a tablespoon

...carbs postworkout WITHOUT fat replenish glycogen quicker...

although the BEST thing to do would be a protein shake

I also have my pictures done... I talked with Skittles and I'm going to try and post them up at lunch when I go home. I was having issues with the sizes. She gave me a pointer so I'm going to try it out. Hopefully It'll work.

Wow your day is busy! I noticed that you take T-rex on an empty stomach? I want to take it in the morn to help with morning cardio, but I have read that it makes you noxious if not taken with food. Have you been sick? Thanks, Ang.

Well this is the first morning I took it without food. Felt a bit ill... but pushed through it. Stomach was oozey feeling, and some light-headedness, but once I ate that all went away. I'm starting this three days a week. The other days I usually take it with food.

Hmmm...maybe I'll just do the morning cardio without T-rex. I don't like mornings or cardio, so I imagine if I feel noxious too nothing will get done except for some complaining. Thanks for the info....Ang

Treilin do you think the amount of fat you take in is good for fat lose? My fat intake seems to be between 45-50, all good fats, but I can't see how to lessen that. My ratios are around the same as yours as well, 45-50% pro so on.

I'm just following the 'boss's advice' with a 40/30/30 diet. I don't question him on that since... well if you would have saw my diet beforehand of probably no fat, and I wasn't getting to where I wanted to be physique wise. So I have to trust someone that knows what they are talking about. I think he does so I jump in with both feet and will look at the outcome.
My weight is steady again on day 4 at 136.2
So I have to think I have lost 2.5 pounds in a week on this plan.

I don't think you would want to drop that!

Post up your diet /stats, and maybe someone can help :)

I posted everything in the "I'm Back With PCOS..." thread. I would paste it here, if I knew how. I'm a little computer deficent. I think my diet is OK. I'm vegetarian so it is hard to form a cutting diet high in protein and lower in carbs, considering I want to eat some protein. I don't want to lean too heavily on pro shakes.

Most of the fat I get is healthy, from tofu, olive oil (2-3 teaspoons a day), and nuts.
Treilin, sorry for hijacking your thread......Ang

Eh... you're fine. Ask Shadow for advice. I'm not so much on the 'cutting' diet like Aley and Skittles. I take in about 300 more calories then the two of them usually, to gain some more muscle. They are around 1400 calories at a 40/30/30. If you look at the two of them they are looking pretty dang good. So it appears to be working for either cutting or for me 'kinda' bulking.

Thanks, I wouldn't have an avatar if it weren't for you! Spinach pie is what Sassy posted on the recipe thread. I figured I would go to the store and create one this evening and try it out.

This is what she posted as the cal breakdown:
Makes 8 servings:
170 cal, 8 g total fat (3.5 sat fat), 125 mg cholesterol, 550 mg sodium, 10 g carb, 1 g dietary fiber, 16 g protein

Thanks, I wouldn't have an avatar if it weren't for you! Spinach pie is what Sassy posted on the recipe thread. I figured I would go to the store and create one this evening and try it out.

This is what she posted as the cal breakdown:
Makes 8 servings:
170 cal, 8 g total fat (3.5 sat fat), 125 mg cholesterol, 550 mg sodium, 10 g carb, 1 g dietary fiber, 16 g protein

ok that's too many pages to look through for that recipe... what number is the post on the thread???

why are you taking 10 g of creatine? I thought we were to take 5g in total?
I'm I doing this wrong?

It says 1 tsp (apr 5 grams) in the morning shake, and one in the afternoon/evening shake...
Loading would be 10g a.m. and p.m.

hmmm skittles how much are you taking. I'm pretty sure you are taking the wafers like me... each one contains 2.5 g should I be eating 4 a day?

You know what I'm an idiot.... I think the back of the container says T, and I have been doing 1 t. 3t = 1 T, said apr 5g in a T, so technically I'm only taking apr 2 grams...
So 2 grams twice a day.

Alright... since I skipped my almonds break I'll eat those then. I'm having an issue with trying to eat today. Not feeling it. Tad bit crusty I think too. Does creatine mess with anything like that? I have been feeling quite what's the word.... 'testy-arguey-arrogant' the past few days... as you noticed from last night. Though I am typically all those things... Just a bit more so lately.

LMAO

no......creatine is nonhormonal....could be a slight bump in test as you are training hard

Alright... What's up with the foot shot? Are you working on making your feet more defined? Or trying to show the ladies you have big feet so they will think other things?

Feeling pretty tired, and sore this a.m..... I could tell I weighed more before jumping on the scale.. but I wouldn't chalk that up to fat gain didn't feel like a fatty... and my abs and obliques looked more defined this morning. I dunno.... Must be the PB.... Plus I noticed my hair is looking better and mysteriously I have only 2 zits left from the 15 last night, I'm not complaining!!!

Hmmm. Its purely anecdotal, but i've never noticed diet soda affecting my skin.

Then again, after two runs of accutane, nothing anymore affects my skin. Clear as can be.

Felt not 100% on the HIIT this a.m. I was about 85% of my normal 100%. I got throught it... but kinda got sick to my stomach... and it felt like I was lugging around 50 pound lead poles when I ran.
I have a strange feeling I'm going to be really sore tomorrow...
So I'm taking the day off from aerobics and stuff... I still will be doing quite a bit of walking though.

nice job - think it might havw been the trex?
No it didn't feel like I do when I get the trex sickness feeling. I think it's due to the poor sleep I have had all week. I even have been taking 1 trex earlier at 3:30/4:00 insted of two. Maybe I should take Trex twice a day in the a.m. and around lunch. I know when I crash I'm going to be out for at least 10 or 11 hours. I'm going to be sleeping on a couch all weekend also... Not good! I only get good sleep in my bed... just not lately...
I'm still feeling legs from monday. I have been increasing weight I am up to 300 pounds on the leg press now... When I started in October I was only at about 100. I'm telling you I'm really trying to gain some muscle. Thanks again for your time and help with all of us!

O.k. so just maybe move the Levorex for my third burner of the day, and use the Trex in the A.m. and lunch time.

Hmmm you have similar likes to mine. I like to wind down like that also. Or the Enya/Enigma (New Age music) with candles always nice. Especially with a massage! Since I start massage therapy school next month I can't wait to get the free massages!
Ever heard any of the music by 'Deep Forest'?
I'm leaving out to New York tonight to a few parties myslef. I already told myself I'm allowed 2 drinks MAX. I'm talking 1 shot each also. So now that I have it planned that way....no rule breaking! Going to try and do cranberry juice or orange juice insetad of the diet pop... Sick of acne!

When you start massage therapy school, will you need someone to practice on for homework?? If so, I'd like to be the 1st to volunteer!!

As for the drinks, try some cranberry juice in some seltzer -- I think seltzer has 0 cals..... Or try to get some that has....

Maybe they'll have michelob ultra at these parties.... I'm not going to hold my breath..... Well I suppose I could pick some up. We'll see. I'll let you know when I'm far enough along in the program where it would be worth your time for a professional massage. I think the lady told me 5 months out I can start charging for massages. So maybe at the 5 month area I can hook up up... Ill be in the program for a year.
