Training Question Once Or Twice A Week?

Iam unsure if i should train a body part once or twice a week,i have been training a body part twice a week for a while and i have hit a big plateau of late.

My training split is like this..

MON. CHEST 12 sets/BI'S 9 sets (train these once a week as they are a smaller muscle)

TUE. BACK 15 sets /SHOULDERS 12 sets

WED. LEGS 15 sets/ABS

THURS. CHEST 12 sets/TRI'S 9 sets(train these once a week as they are a smaller muscle)

FRI. BACK 15 sets/SHOULDERS 12 sets
SAT. LEGS 15 sets/ABS

Iam starting to think that iam over training and i should revert back to a body part once a wee, Opinions would be greatly appreciated!

re formu;ate what muscles you do in the same day.

Shoulders should be a day by themselves, and if not, do them on chesy day. triceps too. All thos muscles work together.

Back and bi's work together to pull. Do them on the same day.


Also, Spread them out 1 more day apart for a while ie. chest monday/friday. give the muscles another day to recover. It should be enough for the time being. after a few more months, just do it once a week. The more muscle you have, you usually are pushing more weight, and breaking more muscle down than before, requiring longer recovery time.

I actually do every part once every 7 days, and am making good progress.

Thanks for the advice..i do deadlifts with my back routine,but i want to separate this maybe do with legs but 2 days after my back!

I'd suggest yu do it after your back workut as opposed to on leg days. It's too much heavy lifting in one day.

Prefreably deadlifts have their own day , IMO, because of the high amount of stress they are on the whole body.
