training less time in between sets

Hello all,

I given a piece of advice on how to train for speed (hipflexors)

6 sets of 20 seconds leg raises on the roman chair with 10 seconds rest inbetween sets

It was given to me by a body builder saying less rest inbetween sets would force my muscles to grow?
What does less rest do other than starve my muscles of recovery time?

Is this true? I thought this would be more of an endurance workout rather than a power workout.

lol it's a load of bullshit.

Less rest, to that degree, increases endurance at the cost of power.

Yes I agree that's crap! Abs are like any other muscle, want powerful abs? Use weights for ab training and go low reps, depending on your experience start with sets of 8-12 reps then as you get stronger, lower the reps and increase the sets a bit. Want to show abs, diet and cardio, that's it.
