Training Late night...........

Here's anm aspect, I just can't get a solid grasp on....let's say you havbe no choice but to train late. You slam your PW shake around 9pm. Obviously you want to get in another full meal, but you gotta crash around 10. What do you do? I've tried eating a good meal (steak, potat.., veggies) about 5 minutes before bed and it drives my stomach mad come morning....I've tried to have have another casein shake, some nuts and veggies, in hopes it would be a full, but still no avail.....any suggestions? Cottage cheese?? GOal = to put on mass.....
 
natty peanut butter wack out a handful and hit the sack.wake up mid night to take a piss and slam a shake go back to bed. ;)
 
i just stuff about 4 table spoons between some wheat and a glass of skim milk
and hit the sack.i love peanut butter tho ;)
 
What are your goals right now? Stats? How's the rest of your diet? No concern of the carbs late night or carbs+fats, eh? Good......me neither....overhyped, esp. when your furnace is stoked from training............
 
well now i am kida doing a little of both no i am not to much concerned with fat and carbs that late bro we train like animals.so gotta look at this way if ate like i do and sat around on my ass yes i would be a little concerned but i dont i train 5 days a week.and am very active.i am the same way i have a lot of shit going on so most days i have a choice eathier dont eat or stuff down some natty and wheat or nothing.so i say fuck and eat.

No, family doc wrote me a script......took 1/2 pint.....close to it......bizzilion tests, prob. won't know until thursday........

nervouse? Fear of the unknown man.......every right to be nervous......shut down is one thing, having a severe problem is another...........
 
ya i hear ya bro my last blood work i was the same way.no matter what you are always gonna be a llittle worried

Did that twice and each time could never get back to sleep until about 3.5 hours later right before it was time to go to work....That sucked....Now I just load up before going to bed....150-170g chicken breast, 100g potatoes, 20g peanuts, 30g whey protein, big bowl of raw spinach....holds me all night (of course we all have the late night piss with all the water we drink throughout the day) but at least I go right back to sleep now....

DAMN!! How close to bed do u have this meal?? I have a few handfull of nuts, some veggies, and a thick casein shake maybe 10-15 minutes prior to crashing and my stomach feels like its gonna explode.......I bet I could do some casein and oats (warm) but those slow-release carbs concern me..not sure that I need them prior to sleep.......thoughts?
 
Oh man... this reminds me all to well of last year. I would leave for work at 6am. Leave for the gym at 9pm (throw a shake down). I would get there at 10 to 10:30pm. Work out.. throw a shake down and drive home for a 1/2 hour. I would usually get there at midnight to 12:30am. I had no desire to eat... and I had to get back up at 4am. I couldn't find anything that worked.

I'm thinking a fat ass ANPB and jelly sandwhich on wheat, some cottage cheese, and a thick casein shake with casein, milk and egg whites......hmmmmmmmm

I eat about 30 mins before hitting the sack....Can't recommend that for everyone, I'm an ecto so I can get away with that kind of meal before bed time and wake up with a flat stomach each morning....I like adding the carbs to the meal before bedtime because it slows the digestion process, thus I don't wake up hungry in the middle of the night....My roommate eats a can of tuna and string beans before bedtime, but if I ate that way, I'll be up at 3:00-4:00 in the morning trying to find something to eat...If you are an ecto or boarderline meso, than adding a slow release carb to your late night meal shouldn't hurt you...Just stay away from sugars.

So what do you have? Suggest? I'm incredibly lean right now, looking to stay pretty lean, but also want to put on some mass.....think oats is the wrong way to go? With some casein, of course.........

I eat 150-170g chicken breast, 100g yams, 20g peanuts, 30g whey protein, big bowl of raw spinach....fuck the oaks bro...if you are lean and trying to bulk....eat yams instead...they are very slow releasing carbs and don't spike inslin levels.....I've packed on 15lbs in 8 weeks on my diet and still at 9% bf and I'm a hardgainer tried and true!!!

How does that equate in ounces? How lose to bed? Something good to slam while I watch the tube and crashhhhhhhh........
