Training during PCT: help

Anakin

New member
How do you guys train during PCT?

Since hormone levels are fucked up, do you lower volume/intensity/frequency?

I'm planning on lowering volume but keeping intensity way up, like Dogg Crap.

Want to keep as much of my gains as possible, obviously. What do you think, what do you usually do?

Thanks and karma.

Lower volume. Keep your WO to about 30-40 minutes. Focus on recovery with sauna, hot cold showers, and those foam rollers.

Snatch, Squat, OHP, Dead, flat bench, BB row -- compound exercises like these will boost your body's natural hormone production.

If both intensity and volume are lowered though, what's your body's motivation to keep muscle?
Well to keep it simple you're still working out.

Most people while on cycle will train extra hard. You cannot keep this up indefinitely. Your body sooner or later will say "I've had enough!"

You're always going to go through peaks and valleys. Typically just after cycling is a valley.

its a form of deloading.
your body MUST deload sometime. you shouldnt lose any muscle due to it.
i lowered the volume y ~ 40 % the week after my cycle, then increase it until you're back to normal after 4 weeks or so

It is critical that you listen to your body and make adjustments accordingly. When coming off of a cycle, I find that my strength and endurance during a workout far exceed my body's ability to recover. If I don't lower the intensity, I have torn myself up badly enough to prevent future workouts for up to a week.

I lower the intensity but not too much. I usually lower the overall workout which makes it really short since my workouts while on don't last me more than 45 minutes already. Once I feel recovered I train the same way I train when I was on.

"deloadiing" - I like that.

I did train with higher volume while on cycle and I was training 5 days a week.

What I plan to do is train 3 days a week Dogg Crap style but just doing straight sets, no rest-pause. That means one very hard set to failure per body part, each body part 3 times in two weeks.
Opinions?

Also, my last injection is on Sunday (primo 100mg), and according to roid calculator I will have a decent amount of primo in my body for 5 days or so after my shot (because I already have some in my system, been doing it @ 400mg/week). So, next week will be my first "off week" but it's more like a natural taper of the injectables.

BTW, my cycle is only a 3-weeker (results have been quite good, I'll post on that on Sunday, my last day) and it has been my first one. Hopefully recovery from this will be easy.

Low Volume

Take a week off is my advice. I ALWAYS take off the first week of PCR. How low the volume depends on you however. Also, I workout only 3x a week during this period.

I used to do the same thing when on as when off.

Here recently, since I have been off for so long, I am doing less sets, same reps and heavy weight, and I am getting just as sore as always, plus now it only takes me 30-45 minutes per session, where as it used to take me 1 hour - 1 hour 15 minutes.
