I've been slacking from the gym last week and this week again so far because of a very busy schedule. My routine is 5 times a week, but last week and this week so far I've only made it three times. The weird thing is I'm looking more muscular now then I did before. Anyone else ever get this? Is it just because of getting more rest?
 
The body is constantly in a state of flux and you never know when actual growth occurs. Occasional breaks can be a good thing. The extra rest may have been what you needed. It's possible to look fuller with less work. The oppsite is also true. Sometimes I train less and eat less and look more ripped! It's a temporary condition so consider yourself lucky but realize, soon enough, you'll need to get back to business!
 
Like Nelson said breaks are important...I KNOW i over trained when i was on my cycle. I did better at the end with more breaks.
 
Sometimes a break can do wonders.

I've found this true many a time.

But when I'm taking a break I usually adjust my diet to a high protein lower cals to take off a few unwanted lbs.
 
Funny you mention that Mac. I'm on my second week of a 4x3 carb cycle. I've cut carbs way down. I've already lost some weight which kicks ass.
 
take a 1-1.5week break every 6 months you come back stronger and more sturdy

Bro just do a 3x ew workout split thats what ive been doing since ive been injured, hell my workouts are so intense i need at LEAST a day to recover ( tHIS BEING THE GENERAL RULE ANYWAYS! )!!!!!

it is because of the rest,,,your body grows while you recover.
