i take the Dale Alexander brand fish oil gel caps, usually about 6 a day, then between 2-4 flax seed oil gel caps. Is this enough, and can you take TOO MUCH of these ? what would happen ?
just kidding bud, I don't think much will happen to you, you may put on extra weight if taking too much. Your amounts sounds perfect to me. I have wondered too- how much exactly to take? I heard 6 grams of fish oil, but don't know how much flax or if you need it at all. Fish may be enough, but let's hope someone more knowledeable joins in.
flax does lubricate the gut so it may speed up luminal transit times
in high quantities i think its can block absorbtion of the other omega fatty acids, so it may not be ideal to take too much of it
also fish oils and flax are both high in omega three's but not very in omega 6. personally i use fish oil and hemp (hemp is much higher in omega 6 oils)
its possible you may get acid reflux from all that oil, but im not sure about that one.
and i have no idea about weight gain but presumably once you stat having too much fat you will gain weight. again not too sure about that

This adds up to around 15 (I'm overstating) g of healthy fats a day. Which is nothing. A healthy individual should consume 1 tbsp. of a Omega3/6/9 fat mixture--3 times a day. At 14.5 g fat per tbsp. x 3 a day= around 45 g of fat which equals to about 45 pills (gellcaps)
Actually, on a healthy diet, 45g is NOT a lot...45g fat x 9cal/g = 405 calories from fat, which is not much considering that the average 200lbs. person needs 2400 for their BMR (weight x 12)
