a friend of mine who i went to highschool with killed himself last evening, and im bummed beyond belief....sorry had to just tell people

A friend of mine killed himself when we were 22. He lost his father at age 16 and spent most of the insurance $$ on cars toys and girls. He was good in school, played football, all the girls liked him and highly popular in highschool. It was a large highschool also. Anyway he went into the marines right after HS and when he came back everything was different. He had ran through all his money and we were all doing different things, it wasnt HS anymore. He started at a community college and worked as a roofer. he seemed pretty despondant most of the time.

At age 22 in his old bedroom at his parents house he put a shotgun in his mouth. All I could think of was his poor mother, she lost both of the men in her life in a few short years.

Definitely write or talk to the kids parents. That has got to be the hardest thing to go through.

Whenever someone mentions suicide i always think of Mike's mother.
