Today’s gym experience (PR)

Today I went to the gym and met some guy that was really into strength training, really smart guy too, I was there warming up at first and he’s talking to some dude that looked like, I swear, Gilligan, and he asked what the bar weighs, me standing there stretching I say , 37 lbs, he thanked me, then proceeded to stack on 45’s, he ends up pushing 377 lbs on the flat bench, at his max, then he did drop sets, with rep/sets of 4x4, I was deeply impressed, this guy must have been 235-245lbs with the power lifting look, probably about 36-40 years old, we talked a bit about lifting and shit, he helped spot me on my Inclines and I hit him back with some spots as well.

Then when he had dropped down to 287 lbs on flat, I asked him if I could try, I never did 287, I told him, I had pushed 270 before for an 1 RM, I tried it and bam, pressed 287, not only is it a new PR, but I broke my old PR from when I was into training 2 years ago, which was 280.

So I'm pretty stoked about it. :D
