Today is a good day

things really havent been going my way lately,works been a rollercoaster,ive considered hanging it up a few times,feeling a bit unappreciated ,it has been putting a huge strain on my relationship,I began sending resumes elsewhere looking closer to where the girlfriend lives.

then this morning after working an overnight shift the boss lady comes in and is like oh btw we are giving you a raise, 16.5 percent,I was all WTF ok that makes me happy,and to top it off I got put on a nice rotating schedule so I can now see the girlfriend alot more. Im still way underpaid for the industry im in but this was a nice gesture on their part to make me feel better about alot of things.

felt like all I was doing was paying bills,feeding myself,and putting gas in my car to go back to work.the extra cash a month is going to be nice.

lol I honestly thought you were being a smart ass at first with the jesus reference,now I get it,forgive me I worked all night and am exhausted.

Scots-it definately was a nice suprise,might make it harder to leave now if I get an offer from another agency

a company I applied to down by my girlfriends is interested in meeting with me in a few weeks to discuss a position with them,much better pay,government run etc.

thats gonna be a tricky decision and a huge jump/move

I work in a group home for hard to serve youth,so its a mixture of child and youth work and corrections without bars
