george and the rest of the crew:

an idea that i believe would help out, would be instead of listing ALL THE MODS at the top.....WHY NOT list ONLY the ones that are logged in at their current time, so when someone comes onto the boards they know exactly what mods are on the board currently..........

....ive had alot of mail lately asking about when certain mods are usually on, or is it safe to ask this mod for advice even though he's only seen his name once or twice.......

Sounds good but You have ther option to to keep you name off that list, All you have to do is go to your profile and click a buton that says "do you wish to stay hidden while you are on the board?" Click yes and you will never be on that list.

Hi Ranger, long time no see

What i meant was, when opening a thread with like 20 or more replys, if there was a sign to see what people are "in" that moment and replyed to a thread. Off course this counts for every thread. Otherwise you always have to go back to the opening page.
Where it says "mail" "pm" etc, one extra icon.
Just a thought.

this is there already - if you look there is a lightbulb symbol in the persons box. if it is lit up, then they are "on" - if it is off, then they aren't there.

BAD idea.....

It basically tells scammers exactly when it is a good time to source post. Who is going to stop them? Not knowing if a mod is watching keeps them guessing and hesitant.

if source posting appears, his ip can be banned. So he can do it only once. It is not only scammers, but legit sources are not allowed to post either.

If he has static IP, then yes, you can ban him. But most people are still on dial-up ISP services, meaning that the IP changes every time you disconnect and re-connect.
