No. I wouldn't lose a single night's sleep knowing a nark landed in a NJ dump. He'd just be there with the cars and trash and scrap metal and stuff. No loss. There are Rules one must take into account before ratting or doing bad things to good people.

Fortunately, they still have, probably, some time left. Things change. The mafia of 1997 is not the mafia of today. People shift around.

Still, if I were Russian...I think I'd just go ahead and take some of the more potent stuff, and in a large enough dosage to make it as painless as possible.

There is, in some circles, little difference between a Nark and an Informant. I'm not sure there is even a difference in translation from certain languages into English. I doubt such translation exists in reality, applied to the culture about which you were speaking.

But, applied to Americans, the information you have given is definitely worth reading and re-reading.

This is someone who gets busted and rats out their friends and associates to get off. Same thing as a traitor.

That must be clarified.

It is ironic that the justice system gives leniency to what they have defined as the worst possible crime against the country - being a traitor, or "confidential informant" as the euphanism is.

You are right. Police officers do their job because they want to make society a safer place.

They truly want to make society safe because they sure as hell are not doing in for the money or fame.

Cops are not going after steroid users. They dont hate steroids and want all the users in jail because the drugs are so bad.

Police officers swear an oath to protect society by enforcing the laws. It is unfortunate that some laws are illogical but it would be dishonorable for Police officers break their oath.

Cops are not looking for it, but dont throw it in their face and expect them to look the other way.

NEVER involve your girl-I know too many people that do and the dude bangs some other girl,gets caught..and the 1st girl gets even by ratting him. They ALWAYS try to get the girls to inform them because they can hit them with a conspiracy charge.

yes, i think that's the 2 russians i'm thinking of. it was supposedly the biggest steroid bust in US history.

i don't know how many units $5million of steroids equates to, but it's probably more than 5years worth of prison time by federal sentencing guidelines.
