Time to start pounding the gym again...

It's past time, actually. I haven't been able to drive to the gym for months, so I've worked out very sporadically at the little weight room on campus. In two weeks, I'll be able to drive again, but for now I'm going to go after work with a friend who just signed up at Gold's today (I already have a membership).

Gonna start with sets of mostly 10-12 until my muscles get re-accustomed to the stress, then hit it heavier. Around 20 hard sets per workout has always give me good mass gains, so I'm going to go with that.

I feel disgusting, lethargic, and small right now, but hopefully that will be a thing of the past by the end of the month. Anyway, I just thought I'd share.

And fuck the training board, by the way. This belongs on C&C.

Your body remembers. You'll be satisfied by how quickly your previous form comes back. Any muscle I have lost in the past has come back at light speed when I resumed bulking again.

2 words for you, cas.................

MUSCLE MEMORY!!!!!!!!!!!

as your past posted pics have shown, you have been both pumped up AND cut; you will be there again!!!!!

U DE MAN-N-N-N-N-N!!!!!! :inflate: :elephant:

edited and corrected because of my lousy typing "skills'!

Why couldn't you drive there anymore?

No local gyms to walk to?

DWI put me down for six months. Then I put off going to this mandatory 10 hour counseling session that you have to complete to get you license back, and when I finally set up an appointmet the soonest they could fit me in was April 25th.

rnch- thanks bro.

i feel your pain...i've lost a lot of weight with a lower back injury and insane amount of cardio of late, i hope it come backs soon too :)

Yea, I gotta get in there also. Been about 2 months, my shoulder was killing me. I tried doing chest and shoulders on different days so not have to much pain, now I think I'll try both on same day so I dont hit the shoulder againfor atleast 5 days between workouts, maybe more rest/ recupe time will be better.

I'm 270 right now but out of shape. Got too much fat on the belly and nothing is "popping". I pulled a 545 deadlift last week and fucked up my hand somehow. It's going to suck working around that, but I'll find a way.

Yah got to keep yah hands on top of the weights, not squished underneath them. :lil k:

Yeah. That's the plan. I can't do that year round, nor do I want to, but when I go balls-out for awhile I get really fast results.

When I start bulking again, I just might try something like that.

Cas have you considered just not working out at all? That's like ten times easier than working out all the time. All you need is a PS2 to fill up the time when you'd normally be lifting weights.

I've been enjoying the last week and a half in the gym after taking a week and a half off for being sick. Good to be back putting some strength and size on. I figure it'll be just a few more years now before people look at me and think to themselves, "that guy looks like he might work out. he may be taking some time off, but he probably used to lift."

nice...

I didn't work out myself for acouple months recently also. The thing I tried when I started again was hit a complete body workout every other day with high reps.

I did this method in the same sense you are doing yours. Just to stimulate everything again. It works well with me.

You'll be back in top shape in no time.
