tightening loose skin on stomach

trukme - yeah bro I hear ya . Some cards might be stacked against you but your skin might still be able to adjust .

Like I said only time will tell . After reaching the desired body weight and body fat % , give it a good 12 months and then AVALIATE . If it is ok , good for you . If the skin is still loose and it is bothering you , surgery might be the only solution .

Titan laser treatments are expensive , they still didn't arrive in Brazil but I seriously doubt that it is gonna solve my problem . I gained and lost ( always FAST ) 40 pounds , 5 times in my life . That means I was 240 , then 200 , then 240 , then 200 .....did it like 5-6 times . So my skin simply couldn't take it .

I am starting to give surgery a serious thought . If I have to stay away from the gym for 30 days , I can take it . I will just keep eating tons of protein and I might lose like 5 lbs muscle , but it is a small price to pay in my opinion .

just remember abdominoplasty usually leaves a nasty scar.

>>> True . It is one of the negatives for sure . But There is also the mini - abdominoplasty in which the scar is MUCH smaller ( around 2.5 inches ) , and there is also endoscopic abdominoplasty which leaves NO SCAR at all .

I lost close to 90 pounds (check my gallery) I ended up afterwards having alot of loose skin that wouldn't tighten up. I'm 42 years of age. I ended up going for the abdominoplasty and had all the skin taken off. I do have a 360 degree scar all around my middle that to me is pretty ugly when I'm naked but I have to say I like the scar much better than all the loose flubber skin that flapped around when I moved about. I also just give people a nice little horror story about myself gettin caught and almost chopped in half while escaping through a stuck elevator. I do have a 6 pack I can actually see now which is nice. It's not shredded like some of the awesome people on this board but I can see them all and that's more than I ever thought I would.

You can always get a huge tat around your torso to cover the scar....

>>LOL I hear ya bro , that is a very good excuse , thanks for the idea I will prolly use this one too ;) . But yeah Like I said the scar IMO looks better than a bunch of flubber skin that flaps + stretch marks .

Let me ask you : How was the recovery ? painfull ? how many days without working out at full strenght ?

and yes , tatoo can cover scars and stretch marks ;)

>> I feel your pain bro . We just gotta stop doing this yo yo shit . It can fuck you up big time like it did to both of us . All the times that I gained 40 pounds of fat I was not working out and eating 7000 cals a day , no joke . I am glad at least I had the desire and discipline to LOSE those 40 pounds ALWAYS when I needed to . Like I just did now .

the scope is , we can gain a lil fat here and there and then lose it later , but I am talking 10 pounds fluctuate AT THE MOST . When your weight fluctuates 40 pounds tons of times in your life , then it is a problem , our skin is not made to hold out all that stretching and shrinking ....so ....

I can take 40 days off the gym and a scar , to get rid of all the extra skin and stretch marks for me it is a good trade .

40 days of the gym - lose 5-10 pounds muscle at the most . ( for me at least )
scar - tattoo can cover most of it if not all.

So ...actually .... if you think about it , surgery is a very good option at least for me who , my body doesn't like to burn muscle so I can stay off gym for a while and still maintain most of my muscle and I like tattoos .

Now a good question for starskulker - How long did you have to stay away from the gym after the surgery ? recovery was painfull or was piece of cake ?

The recovery was pretty shitty. I had 4 drains sticking out of me in the front and rear all along my midsection to get rid of the fluid. Sleeping was a bitch because i was crushing the drains no matter which way I tried to lay down. I basically had to learn to sleep in a sitting position for 6 weeks. There was also the problem of not pulling the drains out or having them comne off on there own. One of them popped out to early (stitches came out) and they had to end up taking a huge syringe with a Giant loader needle and sticking it in me daily to suck the fluid out for about a week. So it was quite a bit of a bitch for recovery.
