My GF bought this for me and me + buddy played last night for the first time.

WOW, this game is a blast. This is the ideal game to play on the Wii, instead of mashing buttons on the XBOX or PS3.

The graphics aren't as good as on the other consoles naturally, but are still good (a lot better than expected)

Overall I give this game a 9/10. If you own a Wii this is a must buy.

We have been playing it nonstop for the last couple days. It's great to play while drunk, cause swinging is such a pain. To bad it aint online or I would play against some of you.

Yeah the swinging can be frustrating, especially when it glitches and does stupid stuff like premature swinging and such

The thing I have to remember is that it's just a game, not a golf simulator.

i am addicted to it on the ps3.. I've never played the wii

how exactly does the swing mechanism work? does it measure how far back you take the "club"......how do you adjust the strength of your shot?

i think it gets old after awhile

measures how far back you take the club. and the longer your backswing measures power/strength of the shot

As I said in another post, it's really great to see Nintendo taking a shot at being a true "next-gen" experience. If they can work out said glitches and really make the swing system fluent, they'll have a real gem on their hands.

I think most people play video games with the intention to be taken out of their everyday life and sucked into whatever game they are playing. To be able to actually swing a 'golf-club' makes it much easier for that to happen. If Nintendo can catch up to the other systems graphically (next time around) then the other systems will have no choice but to get in line behind Nintendo in terms of creating some sort of truly interactive experience.
