Well, I have had lots of intrest from many people about having another Kentucky Training Day in July sometime. I am looking at July 12, 19, or 26th probably. I will probably getting ready for a contest in August, so these dates would be ideal. Lots of time to train and lots of time to plan.

In April we had 21 people here at my home with about 10 or more of them being from www.elitefitness.com. I hope to have similar numbers (or more) this next time.

I have lots of toys to play with and hope to have a few more by then.

If you have ever wanted to try some of the things that you see at the World's Strongest Man contest shown on ESPN, if you would like to meet with some of the strongest people in the US, or if you would just love to hang around a good group of friends...come out and play for a day.

Murray, Kentucky...A Saturday in July. Looking for opinions on dates.

Already have confirmation from a guy from NY who will be here. He is flying into Nashville. I also believe that two or three people from Elite will be driving in from the NY area...

I will be in full training mode too :) It will be fun...but I'll be roaring and rearing to go on that day.

Good luck with qualifying for nationals... I'm trying to do so in a few weeks in Nashville... so good luck to both of us actually:)

Thanks so much - and a big good luck to you, too!

I would give anything to be able to spend a day of training with Clint/ B Fold. Really. But right now, anymore traveling 'cept for competition is out of the question. Plus, Clint knows who will be training me in preparation for Nationals. So, I'm in pretty good hands!

Dude, are you talkin' DinoDay XI on August 2? That'd be cool. I could buy you a beer afterwards! :D

I know you're in good hands with your training, I've read enough about it on TMag.

I've been lucky to find excellent and knowledgeable partners as well, plus I'm only a couple hours from Clint.

You know I'm in. All I need is the day, and the plane tickets will be bought. That, and driving directions from Tennesee.:D

Any of the days listed would be fine, but if I HAD to pick one day, I would vote for the 26th. Just because it would give me more time to get ready.:D But PLEASE pick the day that will provide the best preparation for those who have upcoming comps. (I don't.)

I believe that the 19th is the best for me. It would give me a good kickoff to an August 31 contest. I am still waiting for some email replies from a few other competitors.

Takes me 4hours to get from chicago to louisville, how much further than that?? Never tried any strongman stuff, but always watched, would love to give it a shot though! So im down..if anyone else from chi town wants to carpool let me know

I think that Chicago is like 6 hours from me. I think Louisville is about 4...maybe Chicago is 7 then.

I believe that there may be a person or two coming from the Louisville and Chicago areas here from Elite...

I do believe that the ASSylum crew will be back. Asylum was before the addition of Spatts...Assylum was Post-Spatts...

I'd definitely like to be there, but a lot will depend on what happens with my employment situation. Got to have income to travel.

its bout 410 mi or so and about 6hrs
 
Dude, that would be so awesome if i could make that trip :(. But I live in PA, and can't be driving down there right now..oh well maybe next year ;) I won't feel so weak in a year anyhow i hope :)

You are welcome here anytime. I have current plans to be out of the country starting this Fall if all goes as planned...not sure what the future holds for me. I'd really like to use this day to be with some new friends and maybe say goodbye to a few great ones I've met a long the way.

There are a strongman or two (awesome pro's) who live in PA!!!!

Thinking about moving for a year (working on my masters online) then maybe be back next Summer to finish it up here in Murray. I'm not sure though...maybe a year then back...or stay there forever. Not sure.

dont worry everyone....he cant stay gone forever.. he'll miss ky too much....and all the rest of the strongmen pros will be dissapointed that thier only competition moved to another country.;)

Did anyone ever post the videos from the last one? I saw the pictures and was looking forward to seeing the vids, but they never semed to materialise.

I have all of the videos but had suggestions from several of the people who trained that day not to post theirs. Also...I had well over 100 of them and my site would have went NUTS and it would have cost me a lot of money to have posted them...

So I refrained...

OK thanks for the pics anyway. Was it because they were embaressed ( which they shouldn't be) or was it because they don't want competitors seeing how they train?:)

Not fully sure.

I could edit out their vids...but it would overload my site. One day with those vids up would mean I'd have to shut it down for a month.

B, I am competing 2 1/2 weeks after the 19th. If I am feeling good, and feel like I can handle it without it interfering with my contest prep, I will make every effort to be there. I can't commit just yet, but I'm going to do what I can to make it.
 
Unfortunately, no.:(

I tried and tried to get her to come, but she is concerned about the heat of Kentucky at that time of year and taking mini-me on a plane at 9 months old. (She is concerned about my SON and the heat, BTW. She would love the heat.)

I am willing to set the date of July 19th...if nobody has any objection.

Kingc...I've narrowed it down to a few places. Have had a few career opportunities in the US lately. St. Louis maybe...maybe Indiana...

LOL - I remember that thread..........

Maybe she'll come next time there is a training day. I might be able to convince her to take a trip out to see Mammoth Barbell. (That's what it's called, right?) As long as there is something around there other than a gym that she might like.:D We are trying to plan some vacation time right now for later this year......

Don't know where. I need to find a job that I mostly like and so that Nefi can go to school to get her PhD. She can get in any University in the country...if not the World. With her degrees she shouldn't have any problems getting a job either...

I just have to see what the job markets hold for me...it seems that my degree is actually one of the top 10 sought after degrees right now.

As long as I stay in the US...I will continue to train, have some sort of facility, as well as Training Days.

Joker, KC is a pretty big place, and I'm sure she could find something. I get the impression that she would enjoy the Country Club Plaza.
