Those with/or around kids...

So, I'm in the bathroom this morning with my 5yro and we're doin' our normal routine before school and she says..."Mommy can you come to school and eat lunch with me again today?" ((friday ritual for me)) I say, "Sorry hun, i can't today I have to work". She seemed disappointed for all of 4 seconds then said "Oh oh I know mommy...check it, (yes, she said "check it") you can pretend you're working and sneak out and come to my school. Your boss won't know at all, I'm serious mommy".

Call me crazy, but that's quite the mastermind for a five year old. I do baleedat I'm going to have my hands full in about 5 years.

I'm curious to know how your kid has outsmarted you or the "system". How old were/are they and what'd they do??

Hahaha. Yeah, she's the coolest little person in the world. It's fun being adored by all the little people too. haha

I try to do "little things" that'll leave an impression later in life. I fully intend to start a food fight this week.

Shoot yes. They outsmart people on a daily basis. Damn kids.
Just the other night my oldest was playing his games.
The teacher sends home his spelling words weekly written on index cards. Well I looked every where for them.I figured need2 took off with them because he is known for throwing things away or moving them or whatever.
So any way, my 8 year old son says to me "oh, who cares mom.We can just tell the teacher that we did them. She wont know". So I get all pissy because he needs to know these words. So I am searching the house and now I find the clip that used to be on them, so I know they are some where.....He is sitting back all relaxed he says " you know mom, we dont have to do them."
Well I beat him at his own game. The teacher had also sent home a lined paper where for homework he had to re write the spelling words..SO I made a new set of cards with the spellin words. LOL. As he sits by all pissed off. so finally we finish the words or whatever....Well yesterday I was messing about at the table and happen to move the little table runner that I have on the table and low and behold what is under it all spread out?
The damn spelling words..The boy tried to hide them so that he did not have to do them!

lol. Maybe it is different when there is only one kid....I would love to go see my son in school but the kids prevent it. Plus I am so fed up with the fights and the teasing the others that school is like a little break. Although I do go to a bunch of special things. Like today he has karate so I intend on going to see him there.
