Those long rubber band exercises

the personal trainers at our gym has almost everybody training with those things. i really want to shoot them. one arm is going one way the other arm is going the other way, one leg is going forward the other leg is going backward. i don't know if they are training for the circus or if they are having a contest to see who can come up with the weirdest exercise. they don't believe in using a dumbell that weights more than 2.5 lbs.

Huh? You are talking about those long stretchy bands like the women use in yoga/pilates classes?

Men are walking around using those up and down the halls or something?

LOL

I just think it is funny if the big guys are invading the aerobics room and stealing their bands and doing lunges with pink and blue bands around their ankles. :lmao:

Jump Stretch bands are great for PLing. I love them. Too much tension can really tear you up, though.

Every gym should have a full stock of bands and chains.

They lock them up all the time.

Agreed but my gym doesn't even have 100lb plates. :(

Oooh, those weird ones with handles? They don't have much tension, do they?

Jump Stretch bands really help speed, lockout and stability. Nothing like adding a few hundered pounds to the top: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7kkAMRZO0rw

I've got a set of the fabled cables from Ironmind. You can add bands to the handles in increments of 15lbs. Mine go up to 90lbs resistance right now. Great way to get a little training in on the road.
