today i gave blood... i signed up for 5th period because i had a test (also had one 7th for psych) and it took a longass time. A girl in my psych class got really dizzy, and when i finished it was the beginning of 7th period. I waited with her until she felt better and we went back at the end of the period.. When we walked in, the teacher flipped shit.. said we had no right to give blood during the psych test. I explained how the girl was really dizzy, and she said who cares, you should have come back and let someone else walk her to class. Then, she said i had to come after school and take the test, so i lied and said i had to pickup my brother after school or he would have to walk home. She said it was my fault and taht he'd have to walk, so i said that we lived 5 miles away from the school when it's really right down the street. I took the test 9th period and she stared at me the whole time..

I didn't do well in HS, either. Studied maybe half an hour per month, never took notes, never took an AP class, didn't know what physicses or calculuses were. I just didn't care, and was more interested in music at the time. Needless to say, university was quite a change, lol.

well the blood drive was going on and we had wraps on our arm, so she knew we were at the blood drive.. didn't really warrant a drug test although one kid at lunch had a shitload of weed in his backpack, and another kid stole his backpack. The kid who got his backpack stolen tried to take it back, and when he pushed the other kid, the kid fucking punched him 6 times in the nose.. dude had a broken nose and there was blood all over- so he got the shit kicked out of him, and got charged with possession while he was on probation (only a freshman in high school)

i know i am only 17 and that alone makes me lose some credibility, but with all due respect this comment is stupid. Firstly, i don't have a study hall as i am taking a pretty damn rigorous schedule this year.. you can only donate blood at my school every once and a while, and i decided that i'd donate not to miss the test, but to hopefully help someone in need. I also signed up 2 periods before my psychology test, and if some people didn't get dizzy and feel like they were going to faint (2 kids already did at this point) then i would have been able to take it. I also never mentioned that the person there said i should take the girl to class in case anything happens as she was really flushed, and maybe it's just me but i think that's a bit more important than missing i test i can take in 2 periods. Also, i had already missed the test at this point. The test was a regular test- nothing big, and shit that i already knew so i would have done fine had i taken it 7th period. I kind of posted is on here as a rant cuz i was pissed at the time, but if you think that my only reason for donating blood was to miss an easy test... well you're wrong.

LOL you can give blood whenever you want. Just go to the Red Cross. I used to give blood in high school too, it was a good way to skip out on class, and all you had to do was say you were sick and you got to go home early. How can she tell you if you have the right to give blood or not? I would have done either exactly what you did and lyed my way through it or got into an arguement with her depending on the sort of way she was talking go me. either way I wouldnt go after school to do the test because she disagreed with me giving blood...
