Hi all. I am sitting at LaGuardia airport, awaiting a visitor. She happens to be a stunningly beautiful friend of mine who I have not seen in a while.

Her flight was supposed to get in at 8:30. It has repeatedly been pushed back, and is currently slated to arrive at 3:05AM.

American in all likelihood will not cancel it, because they need the plane here in NY for the morning's routes. So it is anybody's guess when she will get here, and I can't really leave and come back, because my place is like 30 mins from here...it's not worth it.

I've already eaten airport shit-food, and blew a reservation for a very nice place tonight. I guess it'll just be that much nice to see her walk off of the plane.

Until then, I am here on EF. :)

That sucks though man but at least your keeping positive. I think I'd be losing it I can't stand airports
 
Poor guy. Thank God for internet access in times like these. My dad travels about 2 weeks a month and loves his wireless internet. Now he chats with me instead of just sitting there waiting.

well maybe there's some good nookie waitin for ya when the plane lands. If it makes ya feel any better I just had Outback Steakhouse.

I actually had it in the car. Always helps.

The last time this happened, I used the "GET IT NOW" function to become a world-class Ms Pac Man player.

I always have money on me. The problem is, everything here is closing down - no more food or even sodas. The fuggin Wendy's closed.

If you want to come to LGA and hang, it's cool, but perhaps we try a happy hour special at some not too distant time?

its all good bro. happy hour seems cool. but for now. happy hour took alot out of me tonight. so i need some sleepy. i hope your freinds plane lands shortly and your battery doesnt run out.

fuckin laguardia sucks too. and its muggy as hell tonight in NY. bleh.

I never go collect people from airports without some kind of games device. The Internet is a good option and you'll hardly remember it when you see her smile and gratitude for staying there for her.

laptops with DVD sets are invaluable.

last time i got stuck in one of these predicaments -- my laptop, and dvd set of curb your enthusiasm and season 2 of the jeffersons made hours just fly right by. or lord of the rings trilogy.

She made it. To JFK. At 430AM.

Everything went really well. :rose: Whooped? Nah. but she's a cool chick.
 
Bradley Int'l has free wireless internet...one of the few I've been in that doesn't charge. I always travel with multiple DVD's in anticipation of being stuck somewhere...that and it passes the time while you're flying.
 
LOL @ getting stuck @ LGA/JFK/EWR

I made a thread about this two weeks ago. I was chilling @ LGA and it was diverted to JFK @ like 2:30 a.m. from ATL. I was pissed as I had to be @ work by 7.
