I had to go to "advising" about something and every time I go to one of these advising/counseling people they have every little sheepskin and certificate or accomplishment that they have ever received in their life plastered all over the walls. Has anyone seen a Rice Univ. sheepskin? That thing looks like a high school creative writing assignment and is just as long. Its like they are saying "look at all Ive done and how much smarter and more accomplished I am than you, you little peon". Of course I have nothing against people MODESTLY displaying credentials or whatnot in their office, but what is most irritating is that someone with two Ph.D's on their wall that is only making $35,000 a year at a community college is giving me guidance with what to do with my life. LOL.
