This puzzles me

A 17 yr old, kinda weird guy i know, (rarely shaves, very skinny, raggy clothing, bit prude, sensitive, goofy movement and posture, bit raw complexion) has a 20 year old, beautiful, rich gf who lives more than 1400 miles away, and she seems to actually be faithful, and he spends all his cash on his tickets to go see her as often as possible...

Sometimes it's the same as us guys "dating down" simply to put up with less hassle & trouble that the better looking women mostly gives.

Maybe she's dated jerks, been cheated on, etc. And now she thinks as long as she is "dating down", there'll be less drama.

I've seen this a lot before.
Although I'm not sure why she'd want someone a lot younger than she is.
