I was eating pizza at this place and this girl was talking on her cell phone...... here is how the conversation went.

Girl: So I met this guy steve and he is nice and all but I do not think I am that into him.

her friend: oh yah really

Girl: the next day, I left him a message saying that I am busy this next month and I want to take things slow and see if he minds that. Steve emails me back and says I understand that your busy it is no problem.

Her friend: cool

Girl: He is nice and everything but I am just not attracted to him at all

SO THEN WHY IN THE FUCK DID YOU EMAIL HIM AND SAY YOU WANTED TO TAKE IT SLOW........... IF YOU ARE NOT ATTRACTED TO HIM WHY DIDN'T YOU JUST BE HONEST AND TELL HIM SO HE WILL NOT WASTE HIS TIME WITH YOU !!!

Some women need time to see if they truly are into a guy or not. She didnt say that the dude skeeved her and she couldnt handle the idea of sitting with him for another minute. She only said that she was busy because she didn't know if she was that into him.

Sweet Jesus... does a woman have to commit herself to a dude just because they went on one FUCKING date?

This is why I rarely make it past a first date. I never EVER meet a guy that right off rings my bell. It doesn't mean that he isnt a really sweet, intelligent, attractive man. It just means that I like to take my time and let something build to the point where he is on my mind when he is not with me. I dont like pressure. I dont like to be possessed. I dont like to be pursued out the wazoo. The more a guy is up in my shit, the more I dont want to be around him.

The dude needs to just accept that if she wants to see him again, she will get in touch. By then though, it may be her loss as he may have moved onto another girl.

Well, not all. But the majority do. That is why when I find a dude who leaves me alone and is down with giving me space it makes me want him all the more... but not right away. I like a secure man that has a life WITHOUT me.

If a man is on my mind, then there is NOTHING another can do to take him out of there. The same holds true with me.

This girl was not being cruel or deceitful. She just wants the dude to back off and give her time to decide what she wants. I dont understand the woman-hating on this thread.

If I had a dime for every time I told a guy flat out - IT ISNT GOING TO HAPPEN and yet he STILL kept on I could have paid someone to make a pair of cement shoes for the bain of my existance a long time ago. How uncomfortable do you think it is for a girl to CONTINUALLY reject a guy who just doesnt get it?

whats the purpose of a relationship if we only see each other every week or so? i wanna share my life with the lady i love. even if i am very busy i could always squeeze in at least a couple of minutes to talk to her. no problem if she needs more room to be alone but then she is not for me in the long run.

nobody is that busy for a month straight to not even being able to have a coffee together or so. But its a code, everybody does that, men too, its a polite way of saying "i don't like you". Even i am "busy" somestimes ;)

Darlin' I am a single mother of SEVERAL children. Between work and taking care of the kids' needs and trying to keep my ex from making our lives TOTAL HELL I rarely have a moment to myself. So it is VERY believable that in the beginning I can be busy and I accept this reply from gentleman in kind.

There have been several guys where our planets just didn't align but we would exchange a calls or emails for awhile before we could actually spend some time and it was all good. Sometimes we remained friends, sometimes NOTHING came of it and a rare special few times it became soooooo much more.

this is a typical female response, referring to the part where she states that she wants a man who has his own life. One problem-look at that same relationship 6 months to a year down the road, and she'll try to slowly, one by one, take all those relationships that dont focus on her (fishing w/ friends, poker games, ANYTHING outside of her) away from the man. What she REALLY means when she says that she wants a man who has his own life w/o her, is that SHE wants the man, BUT also wants to be able to leave him for an indefinate period of time to do whatever else it is she wants to do at the time. Simply put.
