I'm sure the lighting was designed to flatter of course, especially considering the nature of the product she's selling. Some stuff can't be disguised with lighting, like the under chin "turkey neck" which she definitely doesn't seem to have. If she's not been surgically tweaked with some mini-lifts, I'd say she's got extraordinary genetics.

I hate companies that try to hawk products by deception and showing fake results. Most 'lose weight like him' ads are just photoshops of the fat guy's head put on a bodybuilders body.
Which is why 95% of people look the other way at those stupid infomercials on tv and ads with those gimmicky claims. With good reason.

my father commented (in private, of course) that my mother learned well the "tricks of her sex" and got better looking as she got olde....i mean....matured.
when she was in her 50's, and i was in my early 30's, more than one uninformed fool assumed i was her boy toy when we were seen together in public.

OMG, I am so ashamed of the dirty thoughts I just had of that woman..................................ok, no I'm not, but holy fucking shit that woman is redunkulous!!! That's not bowflex though, that's GH therapy. All people should be on that stuff after they're 30.
That's why they always add the tiny print: Results not typical. In other words, our product sure as hell ain't gonna make you look like this person.

I've been offered work by some of these companies on this type of stuff - and I always refuse. I'm not an idiot, I know normal magazines don't have a need to take a fat woman and make her look skinny. I know what these pics will be used for it. I'm not that desperate for $300.
