I think you have a perfectly normal sex drive, it just seems you have a high drive because you don't get enough.this thread actually got me to thinking that maybe I have HIGH levels of T.... hmmmm.... interesting....

Put it this way, Nan, if you:
1. Put on muscle relatively easily.
2. Carry excess body fat in NON estrogenic places, i.e., not the hips/thighs/butt but more around the waistline.
3. Are predisposed to more body hair than you'd like.
Then maybe you have higher testosterone, but not enough to cause issues. Over the long haul too high T in women causes health issues, i.e., excess facial hair growth, "male pattern" baldness, predisposition toward elevated cholesterol levels and cardiac disease, and depression. In fact, it's been speculated that postpartum depression may be linked to excess testosterone.
Women aren't wired like men. Success or failure of our sex drives are substantially more complicated than men. Basically, the male sex drive is virtually all mechanical, i.e., you could virtually chop off a guy's head and if he had enough testosterone in him he could still have sex (a comment I heard made by a male sex researcher, incidentally).

You might want to think about getting a hormone panel done. Things like extra body hair and extra muscle can be annoying or not (depending on your perspective). Cholesterol and cardiac issues however, that's a whole other ball of wax. Estrogen is actually cardioprotective.Well that's the thing, I'm not saying it just because of the libido, I do put on muscle REALLY fast, to the point I'm currently over weight and by barely flexing my arms are still cut and without even trying so are my calves, I do have fast growing hair (I shave my legs at noon and I'm already raspy by night) have a not very girly voice, I am pretty strong for a chick... high libido... many hints are there... hmmm....
dude, you do not give your wife male hormones. That is why she is messed up. You might have permanently destroyed her natural ability to produce the hormones she needs.
I've read a lot on the female hormonal system. The best minds in the nation have little idea how it works. Female HRT works in many instances but in many instances it doesn't. It is not as simple as giving a female some test and estrogen. It is MUCH more complex than that. For guys it is much simpler. And there is tons of research out there on the effects of male hormones on males. With females it is mostly uncharted territory.
I wish her luck. She needs it.
