Thighs & hips

Hey

Im Greek okay so Ive been blessed (NOT) with hips (thank god they r not too big) but Ive been doing hip flexion and other workouts for thighs (eg, leg curls and especially squats and leg extensions)

Any body have any thigh and Hip secrets :fro:

Worse than Greek genetics are female hormones, which are more likely your problem (along with diet).

Well im not 100% sure, its not realy flabby at all but I guess my bones are wide, but on the other hand I have very small shoulders which could be the real problem
 
DIET!! Then a good heavy leg routine will help...lift heavy...what do you do besides the squats? Do you do dead lifts? Lunges? Leg press?

Well I do all kinds of leg exercises namely, seated and standing calf raisers, leg press, leg curls, hip flexion (standing and seated) , glute machine, lunges, and squats

The only ones I dont do are dead lifts, but as i mentioned to spatt, i have very small shoulders so maybe having small shoulders makes my hips look wider. In measurement they are not realy different to other girls my size but when I look in the mirror they just look a little bigger

I also have genetically small shoulders and wide hip bones, flat but, narrow waist. I have worked over the years to bring up my upper body while at the same time doing lower body compound exercises to shape the hips and legs and hamstrings. Work on that upper body strength and muscle to get a proportional look. What does your typical leg day look like. What type of wts and reps do you use?
 
I'll have to agree with everyone else and say that I sincerely wish that there was a way to burn fat in target areas!! If only I could burn it off my ass but leave it in my chest....that would be divine.

I'll second the working of the arms/shoulders. If you widen them up, you'll look less pear-shaped. I think a lot of it is genetic though. My little sister is a college athlete, works out like a mad woman (swims at least 6-7 miles a day 6 days a week, lifts, does land training, and resistance training) and she's still got wider hips and a bigger backside than I do. Hehe....I'm sure she love that.
