Thigh injecting dangers READ n COMENT

hello , every one i been injecting my thight for a while now till i read this article......a main consern if u inject ur thights is,the risk off striking the large Femoral artery>the large pressurized blood vessel wish provides blood to the whole leg region<you will problably bleed to death withing a matter of minutes..... another danger besides blood vessels,the boddy has a system of nerves that interact with muscles to produce muvement.If you hit one of these nerves with a neddle,at the least youll experience intense pain,but more important ,u may suffer permanent nerve damage.Not only will your 28 inch thigh degenerate but u may actually paralyze your leg... im freaking out i just throw that neddle in like if nothing sometimes 2 legs at a time i do outer thigh..can some one please post me a pic of where the large femoral artery is exacly on the thigh ..and what u think of this article... sounds scary...

my right thigh swelled up 5 inches larger than the other for a week after a cc of tren/prop. Its been 10 days and it is still sore but is going down. go in your glute, fuck the thigh!
 
I do Quad injects numerous amounts of time and never had a problem. You just need to find the right spot the sweet spot and you will not have to worry about hitting nerves and arteries.

who the hell wrote that article?? I woudn't trust anything they say if they are writing anything medical related b/c they obviously were sleeping through 8th grade anatomy.

the femoral is on the inside of the leg, that's why you inject in your OUTTER thigh. well at least I hope you are :)

Those risks are true, if you don't know how and where to shoot. If you have a gun, there are high risks of killing yourself. :rolleyes:

I hit thighs all the time never any problems and is one of my best places to inject. I may be wrong but i cannot see how someone could bleed to death from a needle stick to a vein.

This post had me freaked out. I just got done with a thigh injection, I logged onto the forum and this is the first post that I saw. Im a novice at this shit and I dont have any problems with my thighs.

The femoral artery runs very deep right alongside your femur, there is noway in hell that you could hit it with a pin. You might hit your greater saphenous vein (spelling) if you inject in your inner thigh area. Doctors routinely use that vein to gain access to the circulatory system, but bleeding could easily be stopped with direct pressure. Whoever suggested that you might hit your femoral artery is wrong.

What he said...i've done tons of quad shots with no problems, just be sure to hit the outer part of the quad, I usually do it 1/3rd of the way up the leg from my knee, at the "meaty" part of the outer quad. Have never hit a nerve, and have shot myself there 100s of times.
 
Man, I have always done thigh injections and out of about 200 injects I have only come close to a nerve or had my thigh muscles jump like 5 times, it is a little scary but no biggie just pull out and reposition, you want to saty on the lateral edge of the thigh about 2/3 of the way up and alternate legs aech inject...also make sure your thigh is completely relaxed when you inject and NO PORBLEMS

No offense bro but whatever "article" you read is blowing things out of proportion. There are dangers to injecting ANYWHERE if you don't know what the hell you're doing. This is why you inject in the outter meaty portion of the thigh, not the inner. Also, this is why you ASPIRATE. No need to freak out. Just do your research and everything will be ok.

Btw, quad injects are my favourite spot to inject. Love them!
 
I only shoot quads. Best place to go IMO...its easy to see what you're doing and you don't have to twist into a pretzel to reach it. Never hit a vein or nerve ever.
 
over reaction. When I bring my 1 yo daughter in for shots guess where they stick her? In her thigh. If teh risks tuely were as reat as the article states do you really think that is where Dr's woule be stickin all them kids? they are not really particular about where the pin land either, when she was in for 3 shots one visit 2 in one leg 1 in the other the sots varied in placement by over 1" and she has tiny quads. We need to keep thing in perspective here, its a risk just being alive.
 
Not sure about nerve damage, but I'm sure you won't bleed to death from a pin into the Femoral Artery. A cardiac cath goes in through the inside of the thigh with a 1/4 inch incision. It is not sewn up, the patient applies pressure for 30 minutes. Be wary of info from the internet.....even this info.
 
I use 22ga 1.5" from ag-guys on my outer thigh all the time. I understand the potential for this, I'd just need a body first before I'd seriously think of it as a threat, because, after all I read up on my shit for three years before doing the needle myself. Also helps having several docs in my family too. Last thing we need is fear mongering, but it does help to disuage n00bs from doing dumb shit.
 
Lol, I'm sorry but I'm a novice and I still new there should be no reason that someone would hit their femoral artery when pinning. This made my day, thanks Google

Your artery is so deep on the inside of your thigh you would need a 3" inch needle you might as well aim for the bone. Just googe a physiology chart to see. Thigh injects are ok once u get used to it. I think shoulder/delt shoots r the toughest. Keep your shoots to the outside and you will be fine.
