since the mcgahee thing was disgusting i was wondering what the worst injuries you've seen (tv or live) was...

maxim had a nasty little article 2 years ago about this.. one awful one was a soccer dudes leg snapped like a fuckin twig...

the worst i recall is napolean mcallum on monday night football... but mcgahee's is a close 2nd.. i've actually only seen one replay of it, that was enough for me to know better than to watch anymore.

can't remember the team,or person involved, but he ran with a pigskin thing that was pointy on both ends. These burley guys tried to stop him,and in the act one guy fell on the running man's foot causing his leg to stop while his body continued to fall over the other guy.His leg bent backwards around the fallin guy, causing my stomach to turn.Oh yeah and the hurt guy wears a cowboy hat when not playing, and he's black,go figure:rolleyes:

clint malarchuk of the buffalo sabres in the 80s. he got his throat slit by a skate and there was blood everywhere. the guy was pretty close to dying. now, that is fucked up.

Joe Theisman... seeing his leg snap on national television...

Also, Napolian Kaufman...for the Raiders... his leg did a boo boo when I was in college... ended his career.

when the ny giants blew a 24 point lead to the 49ers, one of their most hated opponents in the playoffs.

Moises Alou when he was playing for the Expos. He was rounding first (i believe against the Cards at Busch Stadium) and his ankle just turned over and his ankle was just hanging their, completely snaped in half...took over 1 year for him to come back...

They were both me. First was mountain climbing. I don't even want to describe it but I spent 14 months in various types of casts. They talked of having to amputate a leg after 6 months. Later did triathlons.

Second was watching my weak ankle roll 100 degrees or so on a guys foot after grabbing a rebound. Ankles can cause amazing pain.
