Moises Alou when he was playing for the Expos. He was rounding first (i believe against the Cards at Busch Stadium) and his ankle just turned over and his ankle was just hanging their, completely snaped in half...took over 1 year for him to come back...

wasnt that against the phils? in the 92 playoffs

clint malarchuk of the buffalo sabres in the 80s. he got his throat slit by a skate and there was blood everywhere. the guy was pretty close to dying. now, that is fucked up.

Yup. This slit his jugular and blood was spurting from his neck about 10 feet with each beat of his heart. The guy was back in a month, too. One more testament to hockey being the roughest sport out there.

Actually seeing it in real life.............some kid at my college gym was doing power cleans w/ the strength coach. I had my back to them, but I head a load pop and turn around and knee blew right out, it was skewed at a nasty looking angle.

I didn't even know the kid but I went over and helped the EMT's put him on a backboard and carry him out.

Jean Pierre Fux doin 600 lb squats and both quads collapsing - now that was somethin.
Have also seen numerous rugby injuries including broken neck - guy can't hold head up so he falls directly on top of crown , can hockey beat that?

Well i know that isn't right because the Expos have not made the post-season since 1981.

"He was awarded a full-time job in left field when Montreal traded away Ivan Calderon before the 1993 season, and played regularly until suffering a gruesome leg injury while rounding first base at Busch Stadium in September. Alou's spikes caught in the Astroturf, breaking the fibula in his left leg and dislocating his ankle to boot. The injuries required the insertion of two metal screws in his leg."

Joe Theisman... seeing his leg snap on national television...

C-ditty

This was the worst I've seen.

Also Franco Columbo on some kind of strongest man comp a long time ago, tried to run with a refrigerator on his back, and his leg snapped...compound fracture mid shin, and you could see the bone. He just laid on the ground with his foot about to fall off...

Even for an athelete, this is pretty disturbing...

Jason Kendall whenever he completely dislocated his foot I believe running to first base. Absolutely fucking disgusting.

AAP with Sid Vicious was absolutely sickening also.

Injuries and broken bones make me sick to the stomach.
