NO, I guess we should give it back however look how much they have caused us and other countries in the past by printing fake bills, deception and the fact that they are a magnate for terrorist. Im just saying we should stop giving BILLIONS away for pieces of shit places like this and every other BS country that hates the US.

When the Soviet Union failed in the late 80's we spent Billions of dollars trying to turn there country into a democratic society to only have it back fire and have Russia basically say F off and take the money and that of foreign companies that went there with the intentions of trying to build the country back. Ford Motor Corporation lost 5 Billion dollars by investing in an exclusive rare Or mining operation that the Russian government was promoting only to have the government keep Fords investment and tell them to basically to f off. Im tired of the US being Superman , and trying to save the damn day in every country.

agree with Arabian. We shouldn't have been helping in Libya in the first place. Obama is an idiot if he thinks he can gain some traction in the middle east by simply helping them oust the very dictators we helped come to power. We get no good will in that part of the world unless we just simply stay out of their business. It sucks cause you'd like to think you did a great thing by helping people oust a piece of shit and ideally we would get credit for it...but this is the middle east. One day they're begging and pleading for U.S help and the very next fucking day they are yelling death to the great satan. Literally 24 hours. It's a no win.

^^^^ Well stated!!!!

US isnt sending 37 billion, they are RETURNING 37 billion.

Your right Nan, however who ever pays us back for saving the world from the wicked demons like them and what countries have ever offered to financially assist us, for spending BILLIONS of dollars to try to keep peace with a bunch of ALLAH loving radicals that are hell bent on destroying the infidels..

oh and if anybody thinks Ghadaffi's well trained army was ousted by dude's in tshirts riding 80's toyota pickups with some admittedly sweet anti aircraft artillery welded to the back.....than you're trippin. I can't count how many times I laughed my ass off at the news showing these jokers "supposedly" firing at something when you could tell they were just firing off rounds into a battlezone that had already been cleared by U.S and/or NATO troops. You don't pop out from around a corner and hip fire an ak on full auto and hit ANYTHING of ANY importance. Especially not troops that would be dug in somewhere. How many guys like that did we see in Iraq that tried that stuff and got "pumped" by american munitions from soldiers dug into buildings? Ghaddaffi's army were not jokers, they had body armor and world class rifle's...not ak's that had been sitting in someone's closet for years. The whole thing was a giant put-on.....to what end i don't know.

But I would take those 20mm anti aircraft pieces and put em on the back of a truck.

I think should loan them the money. at a 40% intrest rate. Because you know the new government doesnt have a credit history:). Plus they are Africans:rolleyes:

You wanna keep THEIR money and deal with angry libyan terrorists in a few years on our soil?

That's okay. You can volunteer your neighborhood then. Last thing we need is another terrorist war-zone hotbed there.

We can always send the Marines there to commit genocide. Of course, in the name of democracy!!

Our military should send them a bill for services rendered, then hold back that amount from the $37 billion. That's how we need to operate. If other countries want our involvement, they have to pay.

If a homeless dude asks me for $50 and I give them to him and then dont have money to pay the rent, isnt that my fault instead of the homeless dude's fault? I shouldnt be offering assistance I cant afford...

I completely agree. The US, Britain and France overthrew a foreign leader. He was a scumbag and the world is a better place without him, but it was still an overthrow.

So we broke it, doesn't that mean we have to fix it? Europe is scraping together its own 2 trillion Euro tarp package this very weekend. It's pretty obvious they're not going to rebuild Libya.

Thats the best idea yet... I like that.. k

Well, now we'll have a complete set of experiments.

First time we "liberated" Afghanistan was when the Russians invaded it -- We did virtually no cleanup afterward
We "re-liberated" Afghanistan -- We've done huge cleanup, but we'll probably still leave well before it's in Iraq 2011 shape
We "liberated" Iraq -- We did a huge (practically 100%) cleanup
We "liberated" Libya -- We probably won't do much of anything at all

Now let's see how these experiments play out over the next 10-30 years.

apparently these homeless dudes have $37 billion.

No kidding! The Libyans were celebrating news of NATO involvement at the very least they should pay for the effort, guided missiles and air strikes don't pay for themselves.

And the pentagon budget could use a $37 billion reduction anyway
