Since I'm playing hookey today and listening to Sleep Dopesmoker , I thought it would be good to run down obscure stoner rock/sludge bands.

Post up your favs if you got 'em. Or gimme some other names to check out. (Flah will like this.)

Crowbar are the kings of sludge and one of my favourite bands. Odd Fellows Rest is a fucking killer album.

Kyuss and Clutch are my favourite stoner bands. Also dont mind a bit of Alabama Thunderpussy and Monster Magnet.

Stoner Rock has a pretty large distro with some awesome imports but I wish their prices weren't so high on somethings.

Some prices seem reasonable compared to this stupid fucking extortionate country. If i go to my local HMV music store, some of the albums i want are £17.99!!, thats like $30 or something.
