The scars left from surgery

New member
Hey guys was wondering if anyone could help- i got surgery for my gyno about 3 months ago however the scars are still very noticeable directly under both my nipples, bigger than i thought, i often have to use make up to try and conceal them and when people do notice i just say i got ligament removed because i ripped my pecs. I was wondering if anyone knew of any treatments or anything to reduce the scar or in fact the redness of them. Cheers bros

cheers bro helpful as always- am going to purchase both these creams, do you know if you can use them both on the scar for a double hit??

Also there is the new medicated bandages that I have seen on TV. I know a person who is using them and having okay success. They are loaded with Vitamin E I think and I think they are put out by neosporin.

There is also silicon strips you wear over the area for several weeks that are supposed to help.

you need time.

It is my understanding the sooner you start treatment the better the success rate of healing.
As i have treated several.

youre right, but after 3 months most of the stretching has been done. the silicon strips work best on areas where the skin would otherwise stretch and move around quite a bit (eg arms/legs near joints) and also, where the strip can be secured well (chest and torso a bit problematic here...its hard to get them to adhere nicely to dampen stretching).

3 months into the game before starting to use compression or silicon is a bit late in the game. from my experience with wounds, if it is healing normally there isnt a whole lot of benefit, and the most pleasing outcome from here on in being the natural whitening of the scar and decrease in depth that comes with a bit of time. youre looking at 12 months or so.

that being said heck give it a go, without taking a look at the wounds no one could say for sure
