I like the Cuban sandwiches from the Cuban sandwich shop in ybor city. You can't find a good authentic Cuban around here.

Best sandwich I ever ate was a roast pork po-boy at some place in Baton Rouge. It was shredded roast pork, mayo, pork gravy, and shredded raw cabbage on a po boy loaf. It was nothing short of amazing. I wish I could remember the name of the place, but it was in the late 1970s. I bet they're still there though.
Second best was the prosciutto, fresh mozzarella & tomato hero at Manganaro's Hero Boy on 9th Ave in Manhattan. It was the Tuesday Special, and they put on so much prosciutto that I got two meals out of it.
Best burger is a tie between the Cannibal's Delight at Camellia Grill in New Orleans, and a regular cheeseburger at The Box in Little Rock.
There used to be a place on 7th Ave across the street from Madison Square Garden called "La Trattoria" that had a really good meat ball hero. And they were next door to a place called "Gyros II" (odd mix of Greek with Roman Numerals there...) that made a pretty kick-ass gyros. They'd serve it in a cone of aluminum foil, and the tsatsiki sauce would drip from the point of the cone. They sprinkled it with paprika too, which really worked for me.

I love shrimp Poboy had one a while back for the first time and it was amazing ^_^

Some epic sandwiches I've eaten:
1. Italian hoagie from Sarcone's in Philadelphia
2. Muffuletta from Central Grocery in New Orleans
3. Roast beef po-boy from Domilese's in New Orleans
4. Beef on weck from Laughlin's in Buffalo
5. Lobster roll from The Clam Shack in Kennebunkport
Those are in no particular order...they're all 10/10 sandwich eating experiences IMO
