The police. What are YOUR thoughts?

We need cops. Cops need power to do their job. Power corrupts. So we need checks and balances...but not too many, because then the cops' hands are tied, and they'll be afraid to do their job....but then we get back to giving cops too much power. It's a constant tightrope that cops and society have to walk. It will never be perfect and could probably be improved upon, but in the end, we still need cops.

Funny. The ratio of bad POLITICANS is 10x higher than cops. And imho, politicians who CREATE the laws are way more dangerous than cops. Cuz they don't have to answer to dick.

Politicians don't kick in doors and arrest people. OH shit, here comes governor Davis....I don't think so.

Politicians have to be elected regularly. When was the last time you saw a cop stand for an eleection? When was the last time a legislator got union protection of his/her job?

Well I took a few history courses and wasn't impressed with how fine we were doing.


I think we need a fraction as many laws and cops myself.

The people that really piss me off are those cocksucking bouncers...every last one of 'em.

I respect the job they have to do. I'm not saying that there are not bad cops out there, there are. Just like there are bad lawyers, doctors, salesmen, etc..

If you want to take a look into the life of a cop contact your local police force and see if they offer ride alongs. More often than not, they will place you in a car, or area that is rather safe. You will still be surprised at what the abuse they go through.

As for why they do it? Maybe they really believe that they are making a difference?
