I got divorced this year, didn't eat for close to 3 weeks, drank myself into a stupour from October until around May, flirted with financial ruin, was coked out for a few of the drunken months so I could drink more, and came so close to killing myself a few times it still gives me chills to know exactly how close I came to doing it. Nope, 2004 was the year my heart got torn out and crumpled into a pile of goo in a divorce. But this year it's actually grown back better and stronger than ever!

MissFit was right on the money, sometimes we see our mates as something we think they are, not what they really are, but time and perspective can clear the foggy vision. I can see now that I'm so much better off after the divorce. No matter how good you think it was, it ended for a reason. Acknowledge that, learn from it, and move on the wiser for it armed with more knowledge.
