Let's see Old School rap was cool for it's time but give me a break about the beats and lyrics. They cannot compare to anything of say Tupac, some of Eminem, Snoop Dogg's voice not his lyrics. Notice I leave out Biggie, Jay Z, Puffy. They are all studio gangsta's. All they rap about is money, ice, and ho's

MRKTING HAS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO DO WITH WHETHER A PERSON LIKES A PRODUCT AND BUYS IT AGAIN OR NOT. THEREFORE, HE CANT BE A MRKTING PRODUCT OF DR. DRE. THAT WILL ONLY GET HIS NAME OUT THERE IN THE BEGINNING FOR PEOPLE TO HEAR ABOUT HIM.

ALSO, AT FIRST I THOUGHT IT WOULD BE ONLY WHITE PEOPLE OF THE SAME AGE YOU MENTIONED TO GO SEE THE MOVIE. HOWEVER, ON SATURDAY NIGHT WHEN I WAS GOING TO SEE "I SPY", THE WHOLE LOBBY OF THE THEATER (A VERY BIG 20 THEATER PLACE) WAS ROPED OFF FOR PEOPLE LINING UP TO GO SEE 8 MILE. IT WAS ALL BLACK PEOPLE PROBABLY ABOUT 17+ YEARS OF AGE. NO WHITES AT ALL.

Nigga. Please. I cant even say it as a sentence with you. How could you pick a cool user name and spout shit like this.

Em is easily one of the top 10 MC's of all-time, and you're hearing it from someone who writes songs.

Lyrics: are on point most of the time. One of the best lyricists.

Beats: anything produced by Dre is solid. As for the beats Eminem "produced", I dont think he produced anything. I think it was all still Dre, and if not, Dre probably still programmed the keys/settings so Em could just hit buttons. I dont blame them if thats the truth though, b/c I dont know how to work a mixer, synthesizer, roland 808, or scratch turntables yet either.

Albums: Havent heard all of "Infinite", "Slim Shady LP" was alright, only a few good songs tho, "The Marshall Mathers LP" was an instant classic, one of the best albums in recent years. "The Eminem Show" is about the same as his last album I think. Maybe slightly better, but not by much. He still should have got 5 mics in The Source.

Other: Eminem isnt trying to be NWA, PE, or the Geto Boys. He's got his own thing going, and he isnt a group. He also isnt black, and he's not trying to politic/preach as much as PE. As for those picks, at least you have some taste NWA is great. PE is cool but their style wasnt always the best, and the Geto Boys have a few good songs.

I agree with you and hate the "eminem look" and act that is so popular now and I am not fond of his music....but, I will say that he is definetely talented as far as rapping goes. He is respected by many in the rap community although he will probably get himself shot due to pissing so many people off.
