answer/discuss the following two questions.


1) Do you lie often, in day to day conversation?

2) when you know people are lying or bullshitting, do you call them out, or just let them spew, and address their bullshit at face value?

2) I don't care if people are telling me little white lies.

I BS from time to time. It's fun to see if people will buy what I'm spouting.

I don't call people out on their BS, but I wil just say "Oh, really? I thought such-and-such was more like this." Then I see if they correct themselves and they'll know I knew they were BS'ing.


Habitual liars will BS evryone all the time. I call those people out because they are just annoying. Then they'll swear up and down it's the truth and I'll just laugh.



When it comes to business and stuff like that, I don't lie.

BS'ing with friends is no big deal. Lying in a professional environment is just poor integrity and makes you look bad.

Ya totally. When it comes to integrity like admitting you broke a possession belonging to someone or forgot to carry out a favour / errand then I'm just honest about it & apologise. If they keep ragging on about it then it defaults to them being the arsehole & I tell them to get a grip & get tae fuck.

I also suck at lying. People who don't lie can't lie worth crap.

I always catch myself in a lie. I'll lie, and then laugh because I knew it was completely unconvincing, and then tell the truth.

1. only time i ever lie is when im acting sarcastic. i'm a pretty truthful guy.
always keep my word. dad taught me that.

2. honestly it depends on the situation. the person, place, and time.
my one buddy J is REALLY bad. told me he doesn't think he's ever told the truth to a girl.
gets a TON of girls though. if it's someone i don't highly respect i will always call them out.

i lie nonstop to girls about really dumb stuff just because they believe anything and it's fun to see what i can get away with.

i always come clean after the lie is complete though, and have a good laff.

examples of two recent lies i told:

that i'd be picking up my date to a cocktail on a tandem bike, because i decided to become CO2 neutral. Then asked if any of her roommates had one of those flashlights you power by shaking.

that my major is intergalactic diplomacy, which is the study of how to communicate with aliens that land on our planet

i don't lie often. little white lies, yes- When someone says, "where'd you get that?" and I say, "i don't know" because I don't want to say.
Little things like that.

I see people lie all the time (mostly at work) and I let it go. whatever.

No, I don't lie, it's not worth the potential risk. I much rather live with integrity.


I can always tell when someone is lying, but I don't call it out. They always find out how foolish they looked. I don't need to help them there!
